First Chapter Thoughts

The first chapter in this book is compelling. The writing caught me in a web of dark, bleak, hopelessness. It literally made me feel cold and filled with despair. And yet, there is no small amount of strength shown by Jack. I have no idea what he's going to do about the bomb that just exploded his young life into a thousand pieces. I love it and want to read more.
