--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Inauguration was this week. I didn't actually watch it. I saw bits and pieces but I've never watched one, so why start now? Relieved to finally have an actual adult in charge though. Time will tell if he can clean up the mess left by that thing that was squatting in the People's House.

In other news...yeah there's not much to report. Hubby is enjoying the training in Iowa as week 2 is complete. 2 more weeks to go then he'll be home for a week.

I emptied a bunch of shelves in the office because I'm going to give it a cleaning and rearranging. I filled 6 tubs with books then the boys took them out to the Exterior Library for me. Yeah. That's pretty much all I can store out there now until we can build the garden shed and clean out the smaller older shed for hubby's woodworking stuff. And that won't be happening until April because of his training. We'll make do until then. As for the office, I didn't get any further than the shelves. I was waiting on some shelf organizers (for my action figures lol) to come from Amazon but they're here now. I should be working on the office this week then. If I can get motivated that is.

Touching Nature: Been a decent week here in NC. Then it got chilly this weekend. Still pretty nice though.

Book News: Um, I *may* have 8 reviews to write now. *cough* Yeah. I need to get on that since 2 are for this coming week.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I finished Star Wars: Rebels and we'll be watching Rogue One soon. Hurricanes games this past week were postponed due to players testing positive to COVID. They should be playing again this week. *fingers crossed*

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness: All the Bernie memes are cracking me up. Ok, not all, some are just dumb, but they are mostly just golden. This one though...

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It's always darkest right before the dawn. I never understood this. Right before dawn the sky starts to lighten, so maybe it's darkest in the dead of night? Unless there's a full moon and it's not cloudy. So, yeah. Fuck that saying. lol

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. The Bernie memes made me chuckle :) Ah, reviews in waiting, I had just finished writing 8 belated reviews, 2 other reviews came up and I'm procrastinating. It just began snowing 10mns ago but I think it's turning to rain... Enjoy your week !

  2. I have watched some Inaugurations but this one I watched all day. I was just worried. lol
Wow two weeks already, that went by fast, he will be home soon. I think it would be nice the first week maybe but after that I would totally miss my husband.
Your nugget made me think too much and now I have a headache lol

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx

  3. I watched some of the inauguration and loved the poet, Amanda Gorman, and yes, having adults in charge again. I hope something will be done about the sedition or it will be easy to happen again. You got In the Garden of Spite - I am seeing that everywhere. Good luck with your projects this week.

    1. Our country is broken. It's going to take awhile to fix, but I'm hoping it will be.

A blogging friend raved about it so I took a chance that it was on NetGalley, requested, and got it. Yay! Now to fit it in the schedule. lol
