--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Hubby flew out early Monday morning. We went to bed at 11:30pm Sunday night, up at 3:15am, and out the door to the airport by 3:45. It's an hour to the airport and at least traffic was scarce. I mean, really scarce. If it hadn't been the asscrack of dawn after 3 hrs of sleep it would have been nice. I took a nap when I got home, but was sluggish all day. His flight back on Feb 5th will not be so nice I think since he gets in at 5:30pm. Rush hour on a Friday. In Raleigh. Oh...joy. Anyway, he is really enjoying the training. He's looking forward to when the production line comes here and he can get to it. He's settled into his hotel room which isn't all that large, but he's makingit work. I sent him a care package of snacks, his heavier coat, and some baskets to keep things tidy. I have another smaller box I'll send out this week.

Our week was fairly mundane. But then Friday evening Anna dropped a bombshell on us. She broke up with Alex because she has feelings for a co-worker and believes if she doesn't explore those feelings she'll regret it. On the one hand I understand. She's only had one serious relationship (with Alex) and they've been together since she was 17, so 6 yrs. On the other hand, I'm like ugh. We love Alex. So, I'm all out of sorts. But life moves on.

Touching Nature: We had some decent weather for NC (50s/30s) then it rained and brought in some chilly weather. The boys and I split and stacked some more wood from the buttcrack tree we had taken down in April. But now my handy dandy homemade racks are full and I need to figure out where to build more.

Book News: Slow going. I read a historical ménage that was pretty good, but now I have 4 reviews to write. Trip bought me headphones for Christmas that I really need to get out of the box and sync to my Fire so I can listen to audiobooks. I'm hoping to get that done this week when I start cleaning the office.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Hockey is back! Watched our Hurricanes win on Thursday only to lose last night. Rat farts! My Browns are in the playoffs! Halle-fucking-lujah! They play at 3:00pm today. Trip and I are in Season 4 of Rebels and moving right along to an episode I don't want to get to.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: I found a new game for my iPad and it's a tad addicting. So, I do my jigsaw puzzles and now I do something called Onet 3D, that's a matching game.

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: On the fuel door you'll find a holder for the cap. I believe most vehicles have one. Unless it breaks off, like the one on our ancient Accord did.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.
