--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So, I mentioned last week that our bedroom has been a catch-all for years. So many boxes of crap and clothes out because we couldn't easily get in the closet with hubby having a chair and card table set up to do his transcriptions. Anyway, I'm slowly getting it gone. I'm probably about 2/3 done and there's still the walk-in closet to do, but I needed to finish a book for a tour so I stopped. lol I have like 5 big boxes of pictures and misc to go through, but they can wait for now. The bedroom looks so much better. Yay! On the other hand, I now have tubs of books out in the shed to unpack and now no empty shelves to do so. I really need to start organizing the books out there so they fit better and I have more room, but we're eventually going to need to build some more bookshelves. But that's down the list.

On Thursday we bought a couch and loveseat that we desperately needed. Ours are 20 yrs old and everytime we move them screws and shit fall off from the recliners in them. Plus, the cats have scratched the shit out of the couch and both of them are just not comfortable anymore. So, the new stuff comes Tuesday. I have more things to shift and organize before then. This is the Year of New Shit and Organization. Better than everything else going on out there. Ugh.

Hubby went back to work at the club Friday night. He's working tonight, but I don't know his upcoming schedule yet. So far, they're only open nights as far as I can tell. I'll know more this week.

Anyway, that's about it for me. Here's some pics of our current greenery for you to enjoy.

Touching Nature: Rainy and moist. Yes, I said it. Moist! Meaning humid. Ugh. So gross. I hate moist air. I did manage to get the lawn mowed before we got more rain.

Book News: I wrote the last of my 10 reviews!

Don't Touch That Dial!: I started a rewatch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Friday night. We've watched Perry Mason and since I've been reading in the evenings hubby has taken to watching Knight Rider, CHiPs, and Walker, Texas Ranger on one of the local channels. Gotta be an oldies channel. LOL

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Hubby shared a ninja squirrel video from that guy that made the glitter bomb because his packages were getting stolen. If you haven't watched him, you need to.

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I can't believe we're in the 21st century and we have people who think it's the 20th (or older) century. I'm so fucking tired of this shit.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Are you excited for the new couch, I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before. It was like is this my life now that I get excited over furniture but I LOVE IT!

So far I hate 2020 and we are only half way in. I'm thinking Zombies in November?

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx

    1. I need more bookshelves and a mailbox post and a whole list of things, so...no. You can't have him. LOL

Yes! I can't wait for them to get here! Although, I need to clean and move some things around first. I guess that's what I'll be doing tomorrow. lol

I hate 2020 with the passion of 1,000 suns. I fully expect Yellowstone to blow and wipe out our country before 2021. :(

  2. Yay for organizing! We are all still working from home. Looks like my hubby won't go back until mid-july early August.

    1. I hate doing it, but it looks so good when it's done that it's all worth it. lol

I really didn't want him going back yet (Anna went back a couple weeks ago at the Pet Lodge), but if they are open then he has to work or no income. It sucks, really. He's been putting apps out there, but no bites.

  3. Well Carol I'd say you've been very industrious these last months! Congrats! And for your husband at the club I hope they take precautions to protect their workforce and of course their clients.

    1. It's hard to believe, but we have been. lol

They are. They have a lot of protocols in place, so it should be fine. Hubby only has the one mask and one of the guys has a Star Wars one, so he asked why he doesn't have some cool ones like that. lol Guess I better start looking online.

  4. You really are getting things done! I love how you are organizing and fixing things up. I need to do more. I am doing a bunch with the yard this week. I mowed right before the rain and now it needs it again. Since the humidity is less today with a north breeze, I'm going to do it later today.

    Stay safe and well!

    1. I guess I'm just tired of having so much shit around and hubby is home to help, so why not get to it. Right? lol

Omg, it is SO nice out today! Too bad I don't really have much I can do outside. At least until the wind dies down and it dries out a bit more so I can burn brush.

    1. I hate organizing (because we have so much shit) but it feels so good afterward. The bedroom isn't even done and I just go back and stare at it because it looks so much better. LOL

The guy at the furniture place asked me what color loveseat I wanted and I said, "Oh, I'm not picky. As long as it's not butt ugly. Like, orange or yellow." He LOL'd.
