--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Christmas week was busy, busy, busy. I'm so ready for my house to be put back to normal.

I found out a good friend from Ohio unexpectedly lost his daughter on the 20th leaving behind three children for him to raise. I can't even imagine what he's going through. My heart breaks for him and his grandchildren. If you have any prayers, posivibes, and/or good juju to spare for a stranger then I would appreciate it if you could send some his way. His name is Duane.

Finally, hubby has the plague. His coughing has been keeping me up, but since it's keeping him up too I just carry on. He has medicine for the daytime that helps him cough up junk, but I need to run out today and get him some nighttime shit to suppress it so he (and I) can sleep.

Touching Nature: Not horrible. No snow for Christmas here in NC. But when have we ever? I can't remember. I miss the snowy Ohio Christmases of my younger days. Though I talked with mom and she said it was so foggy all day and night on the 24th that Rudolph finally put his nose to good use. I drafted my menfolk to help me liberate iris and daffodil bulbs from the abandoned house next door. It's quite a distance through the woods and hilly, so I needed them for muscle. Then I dismissed the boys and hubby helped me plant them in their new home where they will be appreciated and much admired.

Book News: I've binged in glorious literary gluttony. Which means I now have 9 reviews to write. Plus, I'm sure I'll finish my current book before midnight on the 31st as well as another book. Maybe two. My current count is 113 books for 2019.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Watched the final episode of The Mandalorian. Looking forward to the next season. While Trip and Kyle watched all of The Witcher, I've only seen episodes 1-3. Been too busy. Also watched the Hurricanes.

At the Flicks: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...so, a decent enough movie but so many questions I need answered.

Cyberspace Playground: None

Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do not blow your entire paycheck on new armor. You still need to eat.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

I got a book from my oldest brother's author roommate.
I have another of his books that I really need to read and soon.
I used some Christmas money and bought myself a new 7" Fire. *see above photo*
My old 1st gen Fire (2011) doesn't support Audible very well anymore,
so I needed to get something. My new case is awesome. lol
Now I just need to come up with a name for it. My 1st gen is Portal.
My Paperwhite is Voyager. My Kindle for PC is Bookasaurus Rex.
And I still need to name my phone though I never use it for books.
I'll think of something.

  1. I love the names you give your devices! I've managed to read quite a few books recently too and like you, I've still got a couple of reviews to write. It doesn't help that the books were that great so I'm procrastinating. ;-)
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and Hubby keeps his coughing to a minimum. ;-)

    1. Thank you!

I should really rub him down with Lysol wipes. He'd like the rubbing part. The Lysol, not so much. lolol

I hope so, too and also for you! We're going to build a brand together. I can feel it! Wait, maybe that's hunger pangs. No, definitely brand building! XOXO

    1. They've got a rough road ahead but hopefully it'll smooth out. He's a great guy, so I know his grandchildren will be well taken care of.

      I still don't have a name! *thud*

    1. It's been heavenly, just binge reading for pleasure. I mean, reading is always a pleasure, but taking a break from review books has been nice.
