--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Errands and shit. Kept busy but at this time I have no idea what we actually did. Other than read. A lot. lol Tomorrow we have an appointment with the EEOC to see if there is anything they can do about getting hubby's lost wages from his shitty employer. If not, then we'll file a complaint with the Dept of Labor.

Touching Nature: Leafageddon has begun, but Backpack Blower and I returned at dusk yesterday in a glorious first battle victory against the Leafy Horde.
Book News: I'm completely out of control. I've binged and now I have 7 reviews to write. I did have 8, so it could be worse. lol I'll work on those this week. My NetGalley November posts start Friday. I really thought I'd have the entire month ready to go (except for Sundays) by now, but I only have through the 15th. I need 12 more to complete the calendar, but I don't see that happening. We'll see how many more I can finish before the month is over.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Finished season 2 of Dexter. We'll see how 3 goes.

At the Flicks: Nothing

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness: I'm a Yankee (from Ohio), but after living in NC for 22 years, yeah. I can tell you this is true. Seen it in action. lolol

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I can't remember if I said this before, but do the hated chores first just to get the fucking things out of the way. lol

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. We had opposite weeks as far as reading went---I couldn't manage to finish one book! Maybe I can catch some of your reading vibes...

  3. My reading Mojo is just not happening, I can't seem to find time to read but I also don't know how to relax so that might be my problem too. :)

I am glad your battle against the evil leaves was a victory! lol

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx

  4. I hope things go well at the EEOC.

And your advice is good, I really should do those chores I hate first like cleaning the bath.

Wishing you a great reading week

  5. Yup. Do the dreaded things first so you can just get it over and have nothing to dread. I also had a battle in my yard yesterday. The rain today has ruined a bit of my work though - more leaves down. I'm loving this weather overall. I'm still a bit behind on reading so yeah for having read the 7 books. I have one review to write today and I have more to read and review for this week yet. Have a great week!

  6. Congrats on your round 1 victory against the leaves lol!

I really hope things go well for your husband this week with the EEOC. Such crap that y'all are having to fight for lost wages.

Happy reading (and reviewing it seems!) ;) Have a great week!

  8. I agree... The evil chores must be tackled first so that they go away. No one wants them falling them around all week.

I hope you enjoy Octavia Hollows! I've been enjoying them. They're so weird but a lot of fun!
