Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: So much running around. Ugh! But things are getting done, so yay? Okay, yay.
In other news, the strap broke on my purse and I couldn't fix it. Many sentence enhancers followed. I hate purse shopping. I mean, I seriously loathe it. I struck out at Walmart (a first for me in probably 2 decades). I went over to Kohl's where I had a coupon and after I looked at every single purse in the approximate size I needed I settled on one that I don't exactly love but it will do. It better last for 10 fucking years for the price I paid for it. Fucking purses.
Touching Nature: Cool and we finally got rain! Two days worth this past week for a 2" total. It rained last night and it's supposed to rain today with more coming up and while we need it, I will also need to start my war in Leafageddon as well as get some scrap piles of pine burned out back. I didn't want to attempt it when it was so dry, but I also need to get it dry enough now to burn. I can't fucking win. lol
Book News: I've finished some books! I feel kind of like the vegetation outside. A bit refreshed, but more books would be nice. I now have 4 reviews to write but hope to knock at least a couple out today.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Nearly finished with season 2 of Dexter. I hate Lilah and I still loathe his sister Deb and I'm pretty sure Doakes is about to die. Which is ok since I can't stand him either. Why am I still watching this show?
At the Flicks: Nothing
Cyberspace Playground: None
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Just because I'm a woman does not mean I love shopping. I hate it and it's torture. Except book shopping. I love that shit.

Well let's hope that your purse is of good quality with you hating shopping for it LOL
ReplyDeleteI hate purse shopping. I have needed one and can't seem to find what I want. Some are so expensive...why are they so expensive!!!
ReplyDeleteIf my refrig made ice cubes I would totally panic since it's not suppose to do that. :)
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx
You sound like me. I used to go 6 plus years between purses. Now a client gifts me a new one at Christmas and I have purses for each season. My friends are floored. I take good care of my stuff, so they last forever but even I will admit my old one was starting to go. Hopefully, you will break this in and become friends with it!
ReplyDeleteI like shopping for very specific things, purses are not on that list. For me, a purse is a necessity and I want something very specific. Once I find it, I want it to last FOREVER, because finding it again will be next to impossible.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Carol! I hope Mother Nature cooperates for you ;)
I have solved the purse problem by usually not carrying one. No I have a small one but I hate them. Shoes are even worse because I want them to just last. My Harley boots I love are starting to fall apart but once I realized I loved them, I bought another pair - GO ME! And yes, they have discontinued that style and they were the only waterproof ones. So I have a brand new pair I could start wearing. I need to do something with leaves. I raked in September and got a big blister even wearing gloves so I want to try blowing them into a pile but it's too wet I think. I liked Dexter and always wanted him to "win" and everyone to leave him alone. Have a great week with more good reads!
