My Rating ~ 3 bites
Kate and her two college
friends start their own matchmaking company called Kinnection in a small town
not far from New York City. When divorce lawyer Slade finds out his fragile sister
is using their service he storms in threatening to shut them down as scam
artists. Kate issues a challenge instead. She and her company will find him the
perfect woman (for him) and he’ll drop the posturing and let his sister live
her life. They both get more than they bargained for.
This is a decent
contemporary romance with a little bit of the paranormal thrown in. Kate has a
gift for sensing romantic connections between people. She and her friends use
solid business tactics for Kinnection, but Kate verifies their matches with her
gift. They want to make people happy, not miserable so why not use all the
tools in their toolbox? Slade is pretty unlikeable. Kate is a bit too wimpy for
my tastes. The rest of the characters are ok and there’s some humor sprinkled
in. The star of the show though is Robert, Kate’s dog. Come for the dog, stay
for the humor.
