Lily has no memory of a
family. Some old crotchety fart took her in a while ago and makes her work for
food and board. But when his son comes home from wherever, he no longer needs
her, so he sells Lily to a pair of minotaurs for a tidy sum of coinage. What a
dick.
Ok, so let me first get
this off my chest. The old fart’s name is Dals. Or Dals’. I have no idea since
this author uses both, wielding the apostrophe all willy nilly, according to
mood, I guess. Which leads me straight to point 2: The writing sucks. Which
leads me to point 3. The editing sucks more. Plot? Not really. Mood swinging
wildly about like a wind chime in a hurricane? Check. Minotaur sex? Sort of.
What I learned from this book? Minotaurs are not the monsters their rep has given
them and they are apparently really good at oral sex. The end is at 88%. And it's anticlimatic.

I include this in
monster porn because there’s a yeti involved, but in this world yetis are known
and even live among humans. They have a unique culture of their own, but in
this historical story they are still feared and even despised or considered little
more than animals.
Catherine Denton’s
husband Reginald was a colonel in the East India Company Army before he was
wounded and paralyzed. His good friend Yolann served with him as Subedar of the
1st Queen Victoria’s Own Yeti Rifles in India. When Reginald traveled
home to England, Yolann went with him. And with Catherine since she married
Reginald only a short time before he was injured. It took Catherine only a
short time to get used to Yolann and appreciate how much he helped take care of
her husband. And then one day, things changed.
Historical romance that
includes a yeti and ménage and actually has a plot to it? Yep, you read that
right. This is a unique story involving a unique situation. And it’s a pretty
fantastic read, too. Don’t miss out on this one!
PS: I'd also like to mention how much the guy on the cover looks like Ben Affleck. Or is that just me?

I can’t tell if this is
about a woman or a wolf or if she switches back and forth indiscriminately. It’s
confusing. Anyway, this Renegade Omega has to fuck. She can get by without the
need of a male for most of the year, but once in a while the primal need for an
Alpha’s cum overwhelms even her strong will and she has to fuck. But because
she’s been cast out of civilization she has to use the others who are also cast out.
And none are good enough for her. So she has to be canny. When an unusual pack of
six males fall into her trap, the fuck game is on.
Well, this is one hell
of a raunchy read. It’s a bit confusing as to the wolf/human part, but the sex
is wild, dangerous, filthy, and nearly the entire story. The ending is left
gaping wide open, revealing a sequel which I have not read, but it sounds
interesting. I may pick it up at some point.
The Yeti one sounds interesting and the cover guy does sort of look like Ben Affleck...lol.
