--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: What the hell have I done this week? I'm coming up blank. Except for book stuff anyway. Spring Break started Friday for my boys and hubby is taking his scheduled days off this week, so we'll be hanging out at home. Rain forecasted for tomorrow so there will most definitely be a Netflix marathon and then some days of working outside if the weather cooperates.

Touching Nature: Pollen. It's all over the place. I'm not even going to discuss the weather which is also all over the place. Yay for Spring!

Book News: I've read, written reviews, drafted and scheduled posts and had 4 acquisitions to read, 3 of which I finished. Whew! I'm hoping to get caught up on comments and go visiting today before settling down to read some more.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Nothing this week, but we intend to marathon the shit out of Angel tomorrow. And we'll finish the last two episodes of Buffy. Then it's on to something else. Probably NCIS.

At the Flicks: Batman vs Superman is on the agenda for Thursday. I hope it's good.

Cyberspace Playground: InD'tale Magazine has put up their first Elite Reviews video. Do me a favor and see how you like it, please. Pretty please? *flutters eyelashes*

Randomness: April left this on my FB wall. Probably because I'm well-known for dangling a foot and/or hand off the side of my bed. Every.Single.Night. And I'm still in one piece. :D

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I hope you enjoy your Netflix marathon. I plan on relaxing and doing not much of anything. Not really sure exactly what yet. I know we've been working our way through Vikings on Amazon Prime. I also plan to get some reviews written.

Yesterday, I was volunteered zoo for the their annual Eggs, Paws and Claws event. It was a lot of fun to talking to people as the animals played with their Easter related enrichment items. I also had to help herd an overly territorial goose that was terrorizing the guests.

    1. I hope so too. I've been dying to finish Buffy and Angel so we can move on to something else. I mean, I love them and all, but we rarely get to sit and watch tv anymore, so it's time to finish up and move on. lol

Oh! That sounds like fun! I think our zoo has something like that. It's been a couple years since we've been since the kids are teens now. But now that we have grandkids I think it's time to renew the family membership. :D

    1. It really does! I sat there and thought and thought, but the only thing that was really happening was book stuff. lol

  3. I have been enjoying my Netflix bingeing, too...watching Broadchurch at the moment, and alternately, Lie to Me.

The Maggie Shayne series looks tempting.

Oh, pollen...yes, I have serious allergies, and have been waking up with a sinus headache. Hate it!

I am usually better after I'm up and about...and if I don't go outside much.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. We really liked Lie to Me. We were upset there are only a few seasons. Grrr!

I don't have allergies, but the pollen here is thick and it's on everything. I call it tree sperm. lol

  4. I need to marathon something soon for a new post I want to do.
    *ignoring the pollen*

I actually got a lot of stuff scheduled this week after slumping so hard and I am feeling so much better!

Enjoy the spring break! Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox

    1. I miss marathoning. I haven't had a good one in awhile. I rarely watch tv which is weird because when we had satellite we were parked in front of it all the time. Now that I can watch a show on Netflix whenever I feel like it, I don't really feel like it. LOL

Yay for scheduling!! *does butter churn*

  5. What do you mean coming up blank??? Book stuff is the GOOD STUFF :) rain day and a Netflix marathon qualifies as good stuff too :)

I heard that Batman vs Superman is not getting good reviews :( on my agenda for this week too.

OMG I'll have nightmares now do to that pic. My feet will be tucked in under my hubby LOL

    1. Well, that is true. But it doesn't *feel* like I got anything done. lol I can't wait for my marathon tomorrow! Woot!

I heard that, too. That's ok. My son's dying to go, so we'll go. I'm more Team Marvel anyway. Shhhh! Don't tell him that.

      hehehe You're welcome. ;)

    1. I really don't do those often enough. I love to read, but sometimes my brain just needs the entertainment from a good Netflix marathon. :D

    1. Oh, I plan to. Oh, yes I do. LOL Trip started Daredevil. I guess that's another one I need to check out. I'm still behind on Green Arrow too. *sigh*

  8. I'm a Marvel girl so I saw Zootropolis instead (yay Disney!), I am not keen on Ben Affleck as Batman. I hate Christian Bale but he was a better caped crusader!

Have a good week and enjoy reading and netflix bingeing!

    1. I'm definitely Team Marvel, but Trip has been driving us crazy waiting for BvS, so we'll go. I think Bale did an excellent job as Batman. I can't see Affleck in the role. Oh, well.

      Thanks! :)

  9. Happy Easter! That picture of that chocolate bunny with the storm troopers is a great one!

Your week sounds similar to mine indeed, busy week, but not much to tell.

I also got Buried a few weeks ago! It sounds interesting, so I hope it's a good one. I hope you'll have a great week!

  11. I hope you had a great Easter and spring break. That pollen is nasty! I hope you like Batman v. Superman as I just thought it was okay. I loved the bit of Wonder Woman though and wish she was in it more but can't wait for her movie next year!! :)

    1. We did! Bad thing is I want to keep marathoning and I have stuff to do. LOL

We're behind on Bones. We need to watch seasons 9, 10 & 11 (though that's not on Netflix yet).
