I can sum up this short story in one short sentence: Wtf did I just read?

Was it absurd? Yes. In a good way? Yes. Was it funny? Not really. Ok, it had a few spots where I snorted, but that’s it. Did Agatha spit a lot? Yes. And gross. Would I read more by this new-to-me-author? I wouldn’t rule it out.
