Percy College School is private, elite and an all-boys school. It should be an upstanding and outstanding institution, but behind its walls there are sinister things happening. Craig Osterman is the popular all-star quarterback, Jacob Aberdeen is the smart yet quiet kicker and Matt Cutler is an average guy no longer on the football team due to injury. All of these 16-yr-olds have something in common besides football and where they go to school. They are harboring secrets. Secrets that would disgrace Percy College School and Headmaster Dr. Anthony Helmond will do anything to keep that from happening.

Wow. This is one fucked up story. It’s awful, it’s terrible and it’s horrifying, but in a good way. I couldn’t put it down. Told from several POVs, I got a pretty good feel of these characters. I felt bad for Craig who has been keeping a terrible secret about the Coach and then he adds an even bigger secret to that one. I can’t believe that he didn’t just have a mental breakdown. His best friend Matt has been acting like an asshole ever since his injury has kept him from the team. He’s a douchebag, but he’s probably not any worse than most horny 16-yr-olds. He’s still a virgin and desperate to rid himself of the burden yet always strikes out. It makes him cranky. Then there’s Jacob. Omg, what a psychotic little fucker he is. Man, I wanted him to get his comeuppance so damn bad. And finally there’s Helmond, the Headmaster. A weasel, but not horribly so.

All of these people have their reasons for doing what they do, but only Jacob is actively plotting his course. Everyone else is basically reacting to events. But Jacob, sweet Baby Jane, he’s just unbelievable. Talk about a viper hiding in plain sight. He is so distasteful, so disturbing and so shudder-worthy that I really hoped he would get his ass kicked at the very least. But no. At the end he has surpassed everything he has done up to that point and then the book just stops. Wtf? That’s just wrong and I deducted for the cliffhanger. But the rest? Oh, man. Fine young gentlemen? Yeah, I don't think so.
