AVR News Update
Hello from rainy North Carolina and Happy Sunday. I hope everyone has had a good Christmas/Holiday and that everyone is keeping healthy, dodging all the crud going around.

We had a lovely Christmas and I've been relaxing and enjoying the down time. No rushing around or trying to get things done. It's been wonderful. But...I'm now gearing up for the reviews scheduled for after the New Year. And I still haven't picked up a new monthly daytimer even though we were out shopping and running errands Friday and we went to see The Hobbit yesterday. GAH! It's driving me nuts not having my new planner! I may just have to get out of my jammies and run up to Office Max today. Hmmm...it's yucky rainy out. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Ohhhh...then I can also go to B&N and see what to get with my gift card. Bonus, I have a Starbucks gift card I won on FB from Audiobooks.com. WIN!

Today is a big day here for my husband.  The Bears play the Packers. The Bears better win or he'll be walking around like a Bear with a sore head. Can't have that! :)

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Yay you got the Grave series, enjoy! We are Eagles fans and will be watching the game. LOL it is zero degrees and windy here. I have declared it a pajama day Carol. Wish I lived closer I would totally go to B&N and Starbucks with ya tomorrow...enjoy!! As for a planner I use Google calendar since it syncs to my smartphone, nook and just about everything. I would die without it.

    1. Since I had a gift card jumping up and down telling me to buy the 1st book, I just had to do it. Especially when I saw that book 2 was still available on NetGalley. lol

I got up really really late and I haven't even had a shower yet, so I haven't been to Office Max or B&N (or Starbucks). But tomorrow morning is lookin' good. :)

Super lazy this weekend but have not read any books. Getting back onto the swing of things monday! I got a few gift cards myself. Just need to make a list of what I want (its a long list) :)

I hope you a fantastic New Year! Happy Reading all your new books!!!

    2. Super lazy around here, too. It's great! Though I did get 5 books read yesterday since I was ignoring football. *pumps fist* Yes!

  3. Glad you had a good Christmas, and got to see the Hobbit too. I'm hoping to see it this week. Gotta love giftcards, especially to B&N.

    Sorry about the game... :(

  4. I second using Google Calendar. It's the only way I keep my blog on track and it syncs to my smartphone. It's also easy to use.

I hope you got lots of books on your shopping trip and happy New Year!

    1. I might give Google calendar a looksee, but I don't have a smartphone, so that part doesn't mean anything to me. lol I still like a physical copy I can write in and turn the pages, so I really need to get shopping.
