Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front

Sunday ~ Woke up to the news Lindsey Graham croaked in the night. Boo hoo. I have no sympathy for the asshole who said "We're killing all the right people..." That's two pieces of shit down because we all know McConnell has been dead since EMS came to his home and left in no hurry. Plus, he's "talking" to all these people on the phone (for about 20 mins) but can't be bothered to show proof of life to the governor of his own fucking state? Pu-lease! And his "devoted" wife couldn't be bothered to come home from her meetings with her Chinese masters. And now she's putting in new flooring? Come on! His corpse has been rotting in the hospital morgue since June 14th. Then "McConnell" puts out a "proof of life" photo. Hahahahahahahahaha! What a colossal piece of AI bullshit. Anyway...I ended up writing 4 reviews. Go, me! Leftovers for dinner.

Monday ~ Got up and did the usual morning chores. Had a hard time getting motivated today. Finally went to CVS to pick up prescriptions and Food Lion to get some groceries. Later, after more time of no motivation, I finally took George's stuff to Goin' Postal to send out for his birthday which is tomorrow. How did July go from the 1st to the 13th so fast! Fend for yourself for dinner.

Tuesday ~ Eldest spawn's 41st birthday! Worked on the computer. Picked up Kyle at work. Tacos for dinner.

Wednesday ~ Hot out. Was going to go shopping, but ended up working on the blog all day and listening to audiobooks. Wrote 6 reviews and scheduled the posts! Drafted a bunch more and updated a few others. Boys finished off the tacos for dinner. Anna went to some volleyball thing she signed up for then when she came home I made us some egg on toast and Tubby Toast. Tubby Toast is just toast with butter (or peanut butter) and a cinnamon sugar mix. When they were little and watching the Teletubbies I started calling it that and it's stuck ever since.

Thursday ~ Up at 4am since Anna isn't on mandatory OT like Kyle is and wanted a morning to sleep in. Took Kyle to work then came home and went back to bed. After the usual morning shit, worked on blog for a bit then Trip and I went to get some groceries and gas up the Pilot. Had brunch at Waffle House. Picked up Kyle from work. Anna had dinner with Chris then went to therapy. We had pork chops for dinner.

Friday ~ Anna took Kyle to work. I got up at 7am, did the morning stuff, then woke Trip up to go out and do the yard stuff. Still hot and humid! So much sweating! Took a couple of breaks. First break I had to grab a bandana to wrap around my head since the sweat was rolling off me in a river and into my sunglasses obscuring my vision. Trip finished the weed eating first, cooled off then showered. I came in later, cooled off then decided to go to Food Lion to grab a few groceries before I showered and got in my comfy clothes. Yes, I went to Food Lion in sweaty yard clothes. I give zero fucks. lol Trip and I had sandwiches for lunch and I sat in my recliner and watched a Murdoch Mysteries before listening to my audiobook. I thought maybe I would have a nap, but it didn't happen. Anna and Kyle home late because the highway was fucked with an accident that closed two lanes. They ended up going way out of their way on the back roads because the primary detour road was also fucked due to the accident traffic. Anna ordered us Red Robin for dinner and Chris picked it up on his way over. We watched The Terminator while eating then I listened to my audiobook before heading to bed. Anna cleaned the bird baths before she went to bed.

Saturday ~ Up at 8:30, did the usual stuff and then got to cleaning. ABB (where Anna, Kyle, & Chris work) had some tour thing going on for family and friends, so Anna and Chris took her friend Shelby to check it out. I didn't want to go since it's cleaning day, April and the kids were at the beach, and Jess (and thus Ellie) didn't feel good. Anyway, I had the cleaning done before noon. Even though it was Anna's turn for litterboxes I did them so I could be done. Anna and Chris got back and he left to go mow his parents lawn. In this heat. Yuck. Trip and I fed the critters and I had Anna cut up some apples and oranges for them. Cleaned and refilled the feeders for the Tiny Patrons. Scrubbed my kitchen sink. Kyle grilled brats for dinner.

Today It would be nice if it rained all day, but it probably won't. I may try to knock out some more reviews. Maybe Anna and I can work on her room. Sunday is usually a wing it day. I plan to bread chicken (breasts for Trip, drumsticks for the rest of us) and bake it in the oven for dinner.

New Year's Resolutions/Goals
I thought I'd keep a weekly record of these so I can see if anything is getting done. 😆
More reading, less tv ~ Not really. I need to get out of this funk.
Go back to the beginning and revamp old blog posts ~ Nothing this week.
Exercise ~ No, though I did mow.
Tidy up outside ~ Yes. Did some of that.

Touching Nature: Hot hot HOT! Very little rain. Mowed and trimmed some trees.

Book News: Audiobooks. And I wrote 10 reviews!

Don't Touch That Dial!: Murdoch Mysteries. Also watched The Terminator with Anna and Chris.

At the Flicks: Nope.

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It feels good to check things off a list. Even when they are little things. So pack that list and check some things off.
