I read this book in October of 2024, but didn’t get to writing the review until now. Because Life. You’d think I wouldn’t remember what it was about since it was so long ago, but as soon as I started reading the blurb all of its horrible glory came back to me. So, it made an impression on me. Just not a good one.
The main character is TSTL. I mean, what in the actual fuck? No. Everything about this is bad. The boring bits (which is most of it), the two-dimensional characters, and the crappy narration. Skip this one. I’m serious.
Now, having said all that, I have picked up other audios by Kate Bold over on Chirp. I will give her another shot. Or two or three. Just not book 2 in this series. Because Kaylie is a twat of the first order.
