Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Just another busy week, just trying to get by. Ellie was home all but Weds with a fever that came and went and then the coughing started. Jess took her to urgent care on Friday and she has pneumonia. Meds are making her feel better. Luckily Monday and Tuesday are teacher workdays so there's no school.
On Tuesday, I had my yearly boob smashing and everything turned out fine. Weds Trip and I took Kyle's car for an oil change which meant Pano's Diner next door for a delicious breakfast. Yum! Thursday was grocery pick up and then Trip and Anna went Trick or Treating with the grandkiddos in the evening. I started the Saturday cleaning and first weekend of the month cleaning on Friday and finished up Saturday. Leafageddon Battles IV and V were Weds and Sat respectively. Also on Friday, Trip and I took down the Halloween decorations and put out the Fall/Thanksgiving ones.
I did some blog work and actually managed to write two reviews. Go me! Kyle worked OT this week, so it was up at 4:00am to take him to work. I would come home and go back to bed for a couple of hours before officially starting my day.
Yesterday I rec'd the coolest gift ever. My brother sent me an original painting of the farm by a local artist. He even made the frame with left over cherry wood from when mom and dad had the kitchen cabinets custom made. Now I know why he asked what my favorite season was so many months ago. Check it out!
Today I'm hoping to relax, but there are still a few things left to do around here. So, we'll see how it goes.
Touching Nature: Warmer this week. It's like Second Summer, a little less warm than First Summer, but bright and sunny. I engaged in Battle IV of Leafageddon on Wednesday then it got a bit breezy and the Leafy Horde descended in full numbers. I had to bust out Backpack Blower for Battle V yesterday. I only had enough 2 cycle gas for the driveway, so I'll have to make some more before having Trip tackle the roof/gutters and then the rest of the yard. Hopefully before the forecasted rain this coming week.
Book News: Nothing but some audios here. I did manage to write 2 (out of 10) book reviews. Clap for me!
Don't Touch That Dial!: Criminal Minds
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles, the Finch app - is anyone wants to be friends just let me know.
Randomness: A little Halloween horror. I mean, humor. Ok, a little of both.

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: If someone says it's not too spicy, it is definitely too spicy for me. Just sayin'.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Sounds like a busy week. I am hoping this week is good for you and our country. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou always keep busy. I have not yet started Leafageddon. The backyard has started but the front is not leafy yet. There's only one tree there, just starting to color. I've been focused on election so some of the cleaning and yard chores have taken second chair for a couple weeks.
