Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:  I don't have a lot to report from this week. The HVAC company came to do the Spring maintenance on our unit, Sugarcube had a wellness exam and shots updated, and we did grocery pick up. Kyle worked OT all week, so it was up at 4am including Saturday. I did the regular cleaning on Friday, did some odds and ends on Saturday, and worked on the blog.

The shit news is that Anna was fired from her job on Weds with absolutely no explanation as to why. Total bullshit. I'm pissed about it and she's shocked, sad, and depressed. Employers in the US fucking suck. The only thing good was she had planned a vacation in Arizona and was flying out on Thursday. She's trying to enjoy herself, but it sucks. You know?

Anyway, it's supposed to be in the 80s this coming week, so I hope to get outside and work in the mornings. We'll see. Today I just want to sit and read. I also want to do some blog visiting. I just haven't had the energy lately.

Touching Nature: Chilly for a bit, rainy for a bit, windy a lot. Supposed to be in the 80s this coming week. WTF

Book News: Read some, but not enough. Wrote several reviews. Go, Me!

Don't Touch That Dial!:  Finished Lucifer. Or was that last week? No, I think it was this week. Maybe? Anyway, couldn't settle on a next watch so started Supernatural. Again. Skipping episodes I don't like this time though. We finished Psych and Movie #1 which was on Prime. We don't have Peacock, so we have to decide what to do about movies 2 & 3. We started a rewatch of The Mentalist because we couldn't find L&O: Criminal Intent on any streaming service we currently have.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:  Oops...

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I hate everything. Ok, that's not a nugget of wisdom, but it is what it is.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

From the library

I think I've forgotten to share review books I've gotten lately. So, here's a shitton.
Please ignore if I've already shared these.
I really need to step up my reading. If only life would cooperate.

  1. You got lots of books this week. I hope I feel more energetic and can do more yard work either in the mornings or days that aren't so hot.
