Hello and Happy Sunday!

It was cake week here.

On the Home Front: Monday was Anna's 24th birthday. Wednesday was hubby's 53rd birthday. Then Thursday morning at 5am hubby left for Indiana to go to his high school reunion. He wanted me to go, but I had absolutely no desire to travel 9 hrs into tRump & Covid-hoax territory, to see people I didn't know and honestly, had no desire to know. Hell, I have negative zero desire to go to my own high school reunion. Sorry, but I considered that a colossal waste of my time. I sent him off with orders to have fun. Not my gig though. I spent my time doing my usual chores and shuttling Kyle to and from work, including Saturday where he needed to be there at 5am. Ugh. Today, I've got some towels to fold, a shower to take then I plan on writing up two reviews and playing some Pokémon for Community Day. Maybe I'll read. Maybe I'll sit and watch tv. Who knows? The suspense is killing me! lol

Touching Nature: Leafageddon has begun. Also, why is it so humid again?! Fuck this shit. Tuesday & Weds Trip and I finished splitting and stacking wood. Wow. We have quite a lot of it. We'll need to tame the feral greenery this week and my trusty sidekick, Backpack Blower, and I will need to engage in battle once again.

Book News: I finished 2 books that were languishing on my 'currently reading' shelf. My plan is to write the reviews today. After I shower.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Numb3rs. Trip and I watched Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther in our Marvel chronological rewatch. We'll come back to Black Widow after it releases on Disney+ next month.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: If someone tells you to prove you love them by doing something you absolutely do not want to do or they try to guilt you into it in other ways then stick your foot up their ass. Because that is not love, it's a form of abuse and should not be tolerated. Ever. (fyi, that is not what happened to me with hubby, but the situation made me think of past experiences)

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Yeah, I'm not big on that sort of thing and even weddings and funerals are not great if they require a lot of traveling and you don't know the people all that well. I'm worried about how much NC is tRump and COVID territory as well.

I am over the leaves and it's barely started. I am hoping for lower humidity this week along with 70s to finish my planter and fall planting in the new front side of the house. Then I'll have everything set with perennials and just have some weeding and watering in future years.

    1. There seem to be too many people around here that think Covid is a hoax or that it's no worse than the flu and the numbers are being completely exaggerated. It's infuriating. *mad sigh*

I absolutely love my backpack blower, but yeah, I'm over it already and it's barely begun. LOL I just checked the forecast and see what you're talking about. I'm looking forward to 70s this week. Though I see rain. Maybe? We'll see. Good luck with your gardening stuffs! It sounds so exciting! Of course, I'm not the one doing it all. lol
