--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So, the job hubby interviewed for called Monday and said they wanted to proceed and they would call back in 24hrs to set up another interview. Then...nothing. WTF He called and left a voicemail Thursday and if they don't call on Monday he's going to schedule more interviews with other companies. Seriously, WTF.

In other news, my stepson was screwing around on a child's 4-wheeler (he is 30), fell/crashed, and broke his elbow quite badly. He had a plate and pins put in Sunday and was home Monday.

Grandkiddo Kyleigh turned 6 yesterday. She's in Kindergarten and growing like a weed.

Touching Nature: We actually got some snow on Thursday. It's been too warm for it to stick, so no sledding. Plus, it was only about an inch or so. lol It looked pretty though.

Book News: I have 4 reviews to write and I better get those done today because I have a project I want to work on.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Cruising right through Supernatural. We're in the middle of season 2. The boys and I watched Star Wars: The Cone Wars final season (episode 1) that came out Friday on Disney+. Looking good!

At the Flicks: Hubby and boys went to see Sonic. They said (and so did Anna and Alex who saw it earlier in the week) that it was pretty good. Meh. I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD.

Cyberspace Playground: Nothing

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do not break your dog's treats in half.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. I’m really sorry your husband is still in limbo, crossing my fingers still.
Oh dear your poor son, that’s a steep price to pay :(

Wishing you a great reading week

  3. Lmao not breaking Buffy's treats in half lol!

I have my fingers crossed for your hubby! So frustrating when places don't follow through like they say they will. My brother starts a new job Monday that he interviewed for first in November... Some places just take forever so it could still work out. Sending my possivibes! Have a great week!

  4. Best of luck to hubby! I have when people don't do what they say they will. We got the snow and Lulu HATED it, ran to hide and didn't want to go outside. But thankfully it was melty on Friday even. Well we break some treats because she is a small dog. Good luck with the review writing. I'd rather read but then I just have more reviews to write.

    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Thank you! It's unbelievably frustrating.

Yeah, it didn't stick around for long. Except on the north side of things where the sun couldn't melt it. lol

    1. I'm going to be thankful he has a job even if it isn't ideal in many ways. He'll just keep applying. Something will shake loose eventually.
