Ella Pierce owns a bookstore called Really Good Reads that’s been in her family for three generations. She’s barely scraping by, so when a trademark attorney sends her a letter saying her bookstore is in violation of a trademark, Ella does the unthinkable. She brings in Mark Meyers, an erotic romance author with a reputation of being a horn dog. She doesn’t care who he dogs as long as he brings in the cash. And then she finds out it’s her he wants to hump. Woo doggie.

Parodies are hit or miss with me. Sometimes they just fall flat. This one does not. It had me snorting, snickering, and even groaning at the absurd descriptions. And it makes fun of the totally ridiculous trademarking of the word cocky. If you’re looking for a short steamy story that will make you giggle then don’t pass on this one.
