Stephanie Plum is still
a bounty hunter. Lulu is still her sidekick. Morelli and Ranger are still hot
for her. And now Diesel is back in town. One thing Stephanie can always count
on is never having a boring day.
This is basically the
same story over and over again for each book. Change a few things here and
there and voila! New book. Having said that, this one isn’t as stale and boring
as they have tend to become. Plus, Ranger. Nom nom nom! I really wish Stephanie
would ditch Joe and go with Ranger. I dislike Joe intensely. And I’m not really
a fan of Diesel. Overall, slightly amusing but eminently forgettable.
I've yet to read Evanovich, but it sounds like if I decide to, I should just read one and be done with it. :-)

I can't remember, but it seems like the beginning ones are great then they start to get a bit stale around the 9-10 book range before they are completely stale in the teens. Or something like that. They are fluff. That's all. Except for Ranger. Oh, man, I lurve him!
DeleteI have several of Evanovich's books, I picked them up when they were on sale long ago on a planet far far away... I think my daughter read several, not sure when she gave up on them.
ReplyDeleteThey are the same thing recycled over and over again. Still a bit amusing, but stale.
DeleteGlad to hear this one is a little less stale than other recent additions to the series. I like the humor in these books. :):)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's better than the recent ones, but the series still needs to be shook up. It's definitely stale which is a shame.
