--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: First, I'd like to thank everyone for visiting even when I don't get to your blog in return. My life is so complicated now. But...things may just be settling down. Please cross your fingers and maybe your toes. But not your eyes. I don't want them to freeze that way.

Next, after nearly 3 months of looking, we found a used vehicle. There was much rejoicing! We have a car payment for the first time in over a decade, but that's ok. Goodbye, Montana. Hello, Pilot!

And now Boba Fett, who has been riding with me for so many years I've lost track though I'm sure it's about 15, has a non-leaking, non-POS vehicle to co-pilot again. Woot!
In addition, I pretty much have little else to report this week. There's been a lot going on with app'ts and all day at the dealer on Monday then grocery shopping and other shopping and blah, blah, blah. I've been on the go all damn week and I'm tired. Plus, twice I left the house without my cell phone. Twice! Luckily I didn't get far so I returned for it, but I haven't done that in a very long time.

Kyle is on Spring Break this coming week and we have a zoo trip planned. We haven't been in a couple years since the younger kids are now 20, 18 & 17. This time Miss Cheeks (Ellie) and her parents are going with us. If the weather holds it should be a great trip.

Finally, it's April already?!?! WTF?!

Footnote (just because): I've been driving the Pilot for 5 days and I totally love it. May it live long and prosper.

Touching Nature: I think, maybe, possibly, we just might be heading into Spring. Sweet, sweet Spring. Please stick around.

Book News: I've still got 4 reviews to write. I'm never going to get to them at this rate. I'm also trying to read an epic fantasy, but I just haven't had a lot of downtime to read lately. Go, go, go is so not how I pictured my life at 50. I anticipated a LOT more reading than I've been accomplishing lately. *thud*

Don't Touch That Dial!: Arrow season 5 still sucks, but at least Trip and I are 7 episodes away from moving on to something else because Netflix does not have season 6. Thank the Chocolate Gods.

At the Flicks: Inching closer...

Cyberspace Playground: A lot of Pokémon-ing going on this week with all the special stuff happening.

Randomness: Totally me.

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: There are only so many hours in a day, so don't beat yourself up if you don't get everything done. You still need to take some time for yourself, so don't skimp on that.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Yay for the new wheels!!! I feel ya about the car payment. We always tried to pay cash for a car, and enjoyed not having those car payments but we had to get a new car last year. I cried when I saw our receipt last week when I saw how much we still owe on it after a year. Where does all of money go with every payment?! It is nice to not have to worry about breaking down anymore though. Hope you have a Happy Easter with your family!

  3. Congrats on the new car! It's been busy as well for me, and I've been abandoning my blogs across the board (my coblogger might hate me on the second blog) - I hope it dies down for you soon!

  4. Hahaha yeah, that's totally me too. I can't tell you how often I enter a room just to stand there staring around, like "hmmm, was there a reason I came to this room?" LOL :)

Congrats on the car. I know the feeling on getting a car payment after years without it (we bought a used car in December) and yeah, it sucks. But at least you're really enjoying the Pilot -- sounds like it was time.

Hope you're having a good week - and a lot less go, go, go! :)
