--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Did grocery shopping and Christmas shopping and online shopping and I officially hate shopping. But I have a few more things to get then I'm done. *thud*

Touching Nature: Snow! And some rain. And some sleet. And some ice. And basically everything except the kitchen sink. Mother Nature sucks. Once we dry out I need to engage in Battle III of Leafageddon.

Book News: I have three reviews to write. Not too bad considering it could have been worse if I wasn't so busy to read this week.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I are still in Season 1 of Arrow. Hubby and I are at a two-parter on NCIS and have had time to only watch one episode before he heads to work each day, so we started CSI (Vegas) on Hulu until we can watch the two-parter back-to-back. Man, I forgot how long ago this show started. We stopped watching in 2009 when we dropped satellite, so it's been quite awhile since we've seen it and we haven't seen any of the episodes after 2009.

At the Flicks: Star Wars: The Last Jedi is on our list this month. Woot!

Cyberspace Playground: Had some time while the kids hogged the tv, so I got caught up on my Buffy and Angel episode guides with Passion of the Nerd. And OMG! He had my favorite episode guide ready. So funny!
Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Don't listen to weather forecasters. When bad weather looks like it's on the way and they poo poo it, be prepared anyway. Because there's a 90% chance they'll be wrong.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. I am finally done with my kids and just need a few other things. I do all my shopping online I hate going to stores after turkey day.
You got some crazy weather. We got lots of snow and now its ice. Hoping the sun melts a lot of it because ice is hard to clean up.

I hope you have an amazing week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox

  8. I stopped believing the weathermen/women when I realized they can lie through their teeth and still keep their jobs. I rarely check the weather and I'm doing OK. We had snow on Thursday evening. I wish I hadn't had 20 million things to do before I left work so I could've went out and enjoyed it. There are plenty of photos floating around, though, and they are all so beautiful! Packages keep coming to the house and yesterday I asked The Man about one he ripped open, stuck his head in, sniffed, and then closed back up. I asked him what it was and he ran to the bedroom yelling it was none of my damn business. Christmas present. :)

  9. I've got almost all my have to actually physically go get it shopping done which is a huge relief. Online shopping doesn't bother me quite as much. We had some snow too! I'm not a fan but it was pretty. I love CSI it had its ups and downs as the series progressed but I always liked it. I liked CSI Cyber too. Have a great week!
