Nathan is an artist whose inspiration is Kiya,
the mermaid.
While this is a pretty steamy tale about a human
and a mermaid having sex and falling in love (definitely not a Disney approved version
of The Little Mermaid) I found it to be overly descriptive and lacking in
character depth. Told mostly from Nathan’s POV, Kiya’s is sometimes
highlighted, but the switching of views is at times jarring and they occasionally
overlap each other with no clear delineation. All-in-all I was not impressed.
