Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: We had the grandkiddos on Weds and it was fun, fun, fun. Trip was home from school since he didn't need to be there while all the other grades were testing. Cutie Kyleigh so enjoys ordering him around. BB Boone is getting mobile. Scooch, scooch, scooch. Won't be long before he's crawling.
In other news...I'm not sure what the hell I did this past week. It was stuff though. Oh! We shampooed the carpet Sunday. It was bad. I mean, seriously. It's really nice now. Won't last though, so I'll enjoy it while I can. Other than that...your guess is as good as mine what I did with the rest of the week.
Touching Nature: It's Acorn Season! They've been falling periodically, but a few days this past week it got windy and it sounded like we were under attack. I can't imagine we have any left and yet I still hear them. I suppose this week I'll need to get the leaf blower out and blow them out into the woods.
Book News: I'm nearly out of stockpiled reviews. All I have left are several Sandman graphic novels. Gah! I'm hoping to get ahead in December and January, using the Sandman reviews in January. I need 9 more NetGalley November books for my goal. I'm hoping to finish those before Nov. 17th since that's the last one I have ready. It seems like a long way away, but first I need to read my 5 books for the InD'tale holiday issue, due Nov. 10th. So that cuts my time back some. In addition, I need 7 more books to fill up my December calendar and then maybe I can stockpile. We'll see. I drafted a bunch of posts yesterday and moved some things around in the schedule. I'm feeling pretty good which means I've probably forgotten something.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip & I managed several episodes of Star Wars: Clone Wars and we're in Season 5 now. Hubby & I managed only a few NCIS, but that's it.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Nada
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: You may wish you ruled the road (I know I wish it every damn day), but don't act like you do. Use your blinker, don't tailgate, pay attention (that means no phone!), and most of all, do what Patrick Swayze said to do in Roadhouse: Be nice. Until it's time to not be nice and you need to fly a finger. Or two.
Completely forgot that my Blogoversary was the 19th.
5 Years!
Whoa. Hard to believe it's been that long!

Don't faint, but...
Zilch
Nope, those veggies still aren't yummy though they're much improved. I didn't quite follow the review math but sounds like you'll be busy. :D I am so far behind, I'll never catch up.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can collect all those acorns and make a pie? Kind of like a pecan pie?
Stay out of trouble and have a good week!
The math confuses me, too. LOL
DeleteI figured I'd let the squirrels have the acorns. I think all I could do with them is paint faces on them. :D
I try to stay out of trouble! I mean, I usually don't even get out of my jammies! lololol
Congratulations on your five year blogoversary!! Five years.. great job! ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your reading ;)
Thank you! It's hard to believe it's been that long. :)

If I have to eat zuchinni that is my preferred way of eating it. :) Congrats on 5 years of blogging! I do think I almost fainted at the no books! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Stormi
I like zucchini best when it's battered and fried or even just fried in a pan. But it is good in bread. Can't even taste it.
DeleteThanks! Sorry about giving you a near faint. I almost fainted myself when I checked and saw no books. :O
I need to do some reviewing this week as well. I had to stop reading last week to catch up.
ReplyDeletePS. I got a content warning on your blog when I logged on today. Does that normally happen?
I added it because I occasionally review erotica and have Monster Porn Monday each month. Better I add it now before I get in trouble with Blogger. :)
DeleteThere's nothing like grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteI am here getting familiar with your blog. I dig the books that you read and am looking forward to your post.
We'll have them again tomorrow. They are fun, yet exhausting. lol
DeleteWelcome! I hope you enjoy my posts. I've had a run of graphic novels lately because I had them stockpiled for when I was busy. Like now. lol I promise I do read quite a bit more than those. :D
Time sure flies huh? I totally missed my 5 year blogoversary this year!! LOL
