AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Continued to help Jessica get settled into her new apartment with some more shopping and then hubby & I put up her curtain rods and curtains on Thurs. This week, I'm hoping to have her practice driving so she can go attempt the test for her driver's license. *fingers crossed*

Touching Nature: It's been rainy. It's been hot. It's been humid. I mowed and almost died. The End.

Book News: I continue to stay on top of reviews. No one is more surprised than me. :D I picked up Dianne Duvall's newest Immortal Guardians at NetGalley and couldn't resist starting it late afternoon yesterday. I told myself I would be able to stop. Yeah, I knew I was totally lying, but I opened it anyway, stopping only once to make dinner. Went to bed at 1am, book finished. So, here I am at noon on Sunday finishing the Sunday Post I should have finished yesterday. I regret nothing! Currently 18 books behind on my yearly challenge.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Nada, zip, zilch, bupkis. I haven't even been on the couch once this week. That's what happens when teens are home on Summer Break.

At the Flicks: Hoping to see Ant-Man this coming weekend. Other than that, I got nothin'.

Randomness: For the Seinfeld fans out there. 380 Kramer entrances, 172 episodes, from first to last.

Also this because reasons

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. You're on top of reviews, I'm impressed. Go you! Can I give you mine to do? No? Ah well.:D

No TV at all? Wow, you were busy. O_o

    Stay cool and happy reading!

    1. Right now I have 2 to write which isn't bad. I would have had them done today, but I had some other things to do. :)

Nope. None at all. But hubby & I are knocking out CSI:Miami this week, so yay.

      Thanks and you too! :)

  2. I just joined my library after moving! I'm excited, but nervous, too, because I loved my last library system.

    1. I belong to two systems since we live on the edge of our county. What I can't get at one I can usually pick up at the other. Good luck! I'm sure you'll love it. :)

  3. I hope Jessica is settling in her new appartment well. It's been warm here as well, not too bad, but a few degrees cooler would be nice. I actually finished my goodreads challenge already, I read a lot more books than I expected this year, which is nice and I didn't feel like upping my challenge, but it will be interesting how many books I end up reading this year.
That must have been nice to start that new book immediately and finish it the same day. I can't remember the last time I did it. I hope you have a great week!

    1. She's loving it. :)

You finished your challenge already?! Wow! Congrats! It'll be interesting to see what your final tally will be. :)

I totally was supposed to be doing other things, so starting and finishing in one go was not the *best* thing to be doing. But I can't help it with her books. lol

  4. I hope you get to see Ant Man (and then tell us about it). :) I'm behind on movies, haven't even seen dino one yet. sigh. It's getting hot around here too- but not as bad as you guys probably. I hate mowing the lawn when it's humid, you come in and just want to go to sleep LOL.

    Have a nice one!

    1. The kids want to see it so we'll most likely be going to the early Sunday matinee. It's then or wait until hubby's day off on Weds.

Anything outside when it's so humid is awful. NC is supposed to be temperate dammit! lol

  5. Well done on staying ahead on your reviews. If I can get a couple day in the next day or so I'm there too... it's great when you feel you've got them under control!

    1. It's so strange for me because I tend to let them pile up. I've had as many as 20 before. So, now, I feel like I'm forgetting to do something because they're all written. LOL

  7. I have never seen an episode of Seinfeld but I love Julia Louis Dreyfuss in Veep, I'll add Seinfeld to my "Will watch one day" list!

    Have a great week!
