AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

Home Front: One week of school left for everyone excluding my daughter. She's a Senior and she's all done except for the graduation ceremony on June 15th which also happens to be Trip's 16th birthday. The others are taking exams this week, so they'll be out early every day. Hard to believe summer break is just around the corner. Busy, busy!

Touching Nature: It has rained most of this past week and been fairly cool. Also, some critter or critters unnamed are eating our corn plants. I'll hopefully be fixing that with some cayenne pepper. Flame on, you little shits! Or maybe flaming shits, who knows?

Book/Blog News: I drafted something like 20 posts and wrote several reviews. I am slowly pulling myself out of the hole. I also finished my 3 books for the July/August InD'tale issue and have only one of those reviews to whip up and send off. For the 2nd month in a row I'll be getting them in ahead of the due date. Go me!

Don't Touch That Dial: Trip and I have finished Angel. We are sad. However, we've started from the beginning with Bones, so there's that. Hubby & I are a season and a partial away from finishing CSI:Miami. Merciful Zeus! I'll be glad to finish that since it seems to have gotten pretty stupid. After that we will most likely finish up the final season of Psych before starting over with Supernatural. Maybe by the time we get through Season 9 (which we haven't seen) Season 10 will be Netflix handy. *fingers crossed*

At the Flicks: I mentioned we were going to see Avengers: Age of Ultron, but I don't recall reporting that everyone LOVED it!! Sweet, sweet CGI, I do love me some shit blowing up and ass kicking! Trip wants to see Jurassic World for his birthday, so we'll most likely go see that. And we saw the preview for Ant-Man and I want to see that, funds willing.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Glad to hear you're pulling yourself out of that hole and congrats to your daughter on finishing school!

I'm loving all of the Angel reads. I'm yet to watch the series on TV - though was a fan of Buffy!

    1. Thank you! I'm burstin' my buttons. :)

I love Buffy more than Angel, but it wasn't bad. I'm looking forward to the graphic novels to see what happens after the the show ended.

  2. I so want to go to the cinema to see Jurassic World with my dad but it's so darn expensive! I'll need to see how things go money wise but the trailers look great!

  4. The last couple of season of Angel was my favorite, I wish they did the entire series like that, I believe it might have lasted longer.

I want to see Jurassic World just now sure it can hold up to the original, I will forever love the 1 and 3rd Jurassic Park.

Congrats to your Daughter on her Graduation and Happy Birthday to your son!
    Have a great week! oxox

    1. Can you believe I still haven't started it yet?! Me either! In my defense, I'm finishing up some books and getting reviews written, so I can clear a large block of time to read it. I wasn't expecting to get it so soon from the library! And thank you! *glows*

  7. The craziness of school is almost done for the year. Yeah! And congrats on your daughter's graduation. I'm definitely going to go see Jurassic World. My sister waited years for it to be made and passed away before she could. I'll be there with bells on for both of us!

    1. I'm completely obsessed. *hangs head* LOL I totally want to go back to the beginning of Buffy with the graphic novels and I think I have my hubby convinced to watch the show with me once we've finished CSI:Miami. I've only been through the show (and Angel) once, so I'm looking forward to watching again and seeing what I missed. Cuz there's always stuff to pick up when rewatching. :)
