AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

I have to say that this week has been relaxing for me. I've got nothing to report on the home front, nothing on the internet front and nothing on the book front. I spent every day on the couch watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I'm pleased to announce I'm closing in on my son who is in Season 7. I made it into Season 6 before the kids took over the tv yesterday. They said I'm obsessed and I don't deny it. LOL He wants to start Angel as soon as he's finished with Buffy and since I never really warmed to the character Angel I'll probably just watch that show with him instead of binging.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Since I've taken a vacation from the internet this week
to watch Buffy I didn't pick up any freebies.

  1. Isn't great to have a relaxing week with not much happening? I have yet to watch Buffy other than a few episodes here and there, maybe I should add it to my NetFlix list. Have a good week!

    1. It is and I definitely needed it. :) I was pretty sure I would hate Buffy because the beginning seasons are set in high school. Plus, it's from the late 90s, so the technology is old, but I really enjoy it. Especially since Spike became a regular. He's the most interesting character on the show. If you decide to watch it, I recommend doing so from the beginning. It's great watching everyone grow and evolve.

  2. Hubby is a Buffy fan and I enjoyed a bunch of Angel episodes when it was the only thing worth watching early in the morning. However, I prefer to read Paranormal books instead of watching the TV shows. (Though I have to admit that David Boreanaz is delicious eye candy!) I'm more likely to take a week away from TV than away from reading. And since we road trip often, I get plenty of breaks from the Internet. I'll check in this week to see your return to regular posting.

    1. I hardly ever watch tv, so a week of binging is a rare occurrence for me. I read around 250 books a year, so I guess I just needed a break. Especially with all the stuff going on in my life right now. Plus, Spike is just sooooo yummy. lol

  3. I enjoyed the last season of Angel, the beginning ones I wasn't a fan of. I can Buffy Binge all the time! Love that show!

    1. I'm not really looking forward to Angel. I would rather skip to season 5 (because, you know, Spike lol), but I guess I should start at the beginning. I've said I wouldn't mind having the Buffy series on DVD. In other words, I better get it for Christmas. LOL

  5. Oh I love Buffy. I've watched it so many times and season 6 has most my favorite episodes! Have you gotten to Tabula Rasa? Or Once More With Feeling? And of course there's the last few episodes! Is this your first time watching it? Gosh, I can so nerd out about that show. And I'm a Spike girl all the way ;) Have a great week!

    1. This is the first I've ever watched it. And I was surprised by how much I liked it. Then Spike showed up and I loved it. Spike is just such a nommy character. lol I just finished Tabula Rasa. I probably won't get to Smashed for a week or so. The kids are on Spring Break. That's ok though. I've seen the clip on YouTube and I can wait until the house is empty to enjoy the entire episode all by my lonesome. :D
