AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and for those who don't observe the day I hope you had a wonderful Thursday. :) There is still plenty of food here, but the pie is nearly gone. Sad. :( But I have bananas ready to make banana bread, so it's all good. We also started our Christmas decorating and are nearly finished. It has been a lovely 5 days off for the kids, 4 days off for the hubby and 0 days off for me. LOL
The cough lingers, but it's more an occasional annoyance than anything else. I am gearing up to start scheduling after the New Year. And by that I mean I've looked at the calendar and thought: I should really get more organized. Anyway, I don't have a whole lot planned for this month, the Stocking Stuffers I mentioned last Sunday and a few of my regular posts, such as Monster Porn Monday and Wicked Weds and such. I'm taking it easy and not getting stressed out. Blogging should be fun, not work.
In other news, I cannot believe that we are 1 month away from 2015. This year has just flown by. I think the years go faster as I get older and that is so not fair.

I'm sorry the cough still lingers - I had an annoying cough like that for like a year and it was so frustrating! I hope it goes away soon. LOL I know, everyone got time off except for us moms it seems - more work, but I loved every minute. I have the same problem looking at January, but I'm planning to do something about that lol! Have a great week Carol :)
ReplyDeleteMe, too. Stupid cough. lol After Thursday I didn't have to cook, so there's that. :D I hope to sit down and plan January some time this week. *fingers crossed* :) Thanks and you, too!
DeleteOh, yes, annoying coughs can be a trial...hope yours goes away soon!
ReplyDeleteI have allergies that persist, but the meds help.
Enjoy your new books...you have several Christmas ones that look appealing. Thanks for sharing...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I hope so, too.
DeleteMy husband has allergies, too. They are definitely a pain.
I hope to read some Christmasy books soon. :)
I hope the cough slips away in the night. We are done decorating too, and now I begin cooking and cleaning for the party next weekend. Rest first..so I am not down for the count. Blogging should always be fun. I have December and most of January scheduled. I am actually going to take a bloggy break the last two weeks of December. Well I am going to try to go offline..I really am an addict, that and I always feel incredibly guilty if I take a day off from commenting back and replying.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I will break for January or use this month to get some books ahead. I'll see when I sit down to actually look at the calendar and my TBR which will hopefully be this week. :)
DeleteThat cough is persistent. I'm sending you some Aussie sunshine :)
ReplyDeleteI hear you on "not stressing". Now, if only I could manage it ;)
Sunshine is always welcome! Thanks! :)
DeleteMe, too. Me, too. lol
Happy (late) Thanksgiving! I can't believe tomorrow is December already, but I am excited for all the holiday events coming up.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Ikr! It'll be a fun, but busy month. :)
DeleteSounds like you had a great Thanksgiving and Banana bread sounds awesome..yum. I hope that cough goes away soon as you have had it way to long. :( Enjoy your new reads!!

It seems to be taking its sweet time leaving. Grrr! lol I make banana bread a lot. I should start selling it. :D
DeleteAnnoying that the cough lingers but at least it's getting better. And I think you have a book addiction, not just a NetGalley addiction. LOL Welcome to the club! :P
ReplyDeleteI had no pie for Thanksgiving. :( Other than that, it was a good day though. Maybe you can get a day off when your kids and husband return to school and work?
Have a good week!
Slowly, slowly it's leaving me. Not fast enough though!
DeleteA book addiction?! Say it isn't so?! hehehe I can think of worse addictions.
Hubby went to work today and kids went to school, but the youngest had an ortho app't and we stopped to get his hair cut, too, so my morning was a bust. Afternoon was better. I got some reviews written and a couple posts drafted, so I'll call it a win. :)
Perhaps you could try making a a tea out of thyme. Got this from a health blog:
ReplyDelete"Thyme is an officially approved German treatment for coughs, upper respiratory infections, bronchitis, and whooping cough, with good reason: Those tiny leaves are packed with cough-relieving compounds. Thyme flavonoids relax tracheal and ileal muscles, which are involved in coughing, and also reduce inflammation. To make a tea, mix 2 teaspoons crushed leaves in 1 cup boiling water, cover, then steep for 10 minutes and strain."
Get well soon ♥

I love tea. I drink it all the time (not thyme lol). I'll have to give that thyme tea a try. Thanks!! :)
