Robin
Hood is the leader of his gang, the Underthieves. They get orders from Grandma
of what things to steal and then they take turns wearing the girly red hood to
deliver the goods to her. This time, it’s Robin’s turn to wear the hood and
he’s none too happy about it, but does it anyway. What should be a piece of
cake delivery turns out to be anything but.
Not
terribly well-written, but not awful either. A cute, quick, middle grade fairy
tale retelling that has a bit of a twist there toward the end. Melding Robin
Hood with Little Red Riding Hood is clever and the twist is a surprise. I would
read more of this series.
That's an interesting combination! I may have to check this out for the kids.
ReplyDeleteI like stories that throw a bit of this and that in a pot and stir. Kids would probably enjoy it. :)
