AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

Sunday was Father's Day and Trip's birthday. The guys went fishing and then we went to watch Pure Pro Wrestling. We know people who wrestle and it's fun to watch them. Had a great time!

I've spent the week getting the kids ready for their trip to Ohio to visit with my parents. In fact, as you read this I should be traveling from NC to WV (there and back again) to meet my mom and oldest son (who lives in OH) about halfway. I'll hand the devils *cough* kids off to her before turning tail and flooring it in the opposite direction, laughing maniacally all the way home. I'm kidding, of course. I've got great kids. :) They'll only be gone a week-and-a-half. Hardly long enough to miss them. Except when it's time to clean the litter boxes, that is. *sigh*

In addition: Due to the busy-bee-ness, I didn't have time to return visit everyone this week. I finally managed today (Saturday) to reply to this week's comments though. Whew! I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed early because long distance driving while tired, especially in the mountains, is not a good combo.

To wrap up: I have one more book tour on the 1st and then I'm taking a much needed break. I may or may not have a review here and there, but what is more likely is that I will save them for when I gear back up towards the end of July or beginning of August. I will have very little time between now and the 13th anyway, what with plans with hubby, Supernatural marathons, retrieving the beasts and then doing some home improvement projects. I should still have The Sunday Post up to let everyone know I'm still kicking.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. My mom told me that she will be taking the kids to the shore house this summer because now that my father retired she wants to spend time down there. I can't give her my kids fast enough ;) lol They love going down and once we are finished with the work week will join them down there. So I totally understand the kids free feeling :)

I am planning this summer to spend some more time focusing on read/review and less on post after post. I really want to get my reviews up in my blog since I feel like I am forever setting stuff up.

I hope you have a great week kid free! and enjoy all your reads!!!

    1. I'm originally from Ohio so all my family is there. It's a good break for all of us. :)

I'm trying to get ahead of the game in reviews. I'm hoping the break will help with that. *fingers crossed* Good luck! :)

    1. Yeah, most likely not. lololol I'm looking forward to the break and just getting reviews queued up instead of scrambling. However, scrambling is starting to look very much like my modus operandi. LOL

      Thanks! :)

  5. A week and a half kid free sounds lovely! Hope you're able to relax and enjoy it. You can always dump some baking soda in the litter box to kill the smell until the kids get home :) Have a great week! Looks like you got some great books!

    1. Last year it was 2 weeks, but the dates didn't fall right this year. lol With 3 cats I don't think that will fly. I will have to at least scoop the poop and then change the boxes before we go get the kids. *sigh*

      Thanks! :)
