AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday! And Happy Easter!

The kids have been on Spring Break since Weds. since they had to make up a few ice days. The weather has been chilly, so we've just been hanging out. We did go to the NC Zoo on Friday and exhausted ourselves. Yesterday we saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Awesome! Then, of course, we had to come home and watch Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Avengers and Iron Man 3. Haven't had a movie marathon in a long time. Wish I'd had the stamina to throw in Thor and Thor 2. Nommy nomnoms! *drool* lol Anyway next marathon may need to be Lord of the Rings. :D

Haven't done much blog wise and picked up only a few books. Good thing. I have a busy May coming up. 39 days left of school. Yes, I'm counting down the days when I won't have to put up with the car rider lanes. Woot!

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Nothing worth mentioning. I probably should have resisted. Ah, well. Sometimes resistance really *is* futile.

  1. We went to the zoo on spring break and ended up the same way- flat out tired. What 's up with that? Too frickin big LOL. For the adults anyway... glad you liked Capt. America, I saw it again last week my boss wanted to see it so we took the afternoon off for a movie. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. :) Happy Easter and have a good week!

    1. Our zoo has something like 500 million miles of trails. Ok, that might be a tad overstating it. It does have about 5 miles and it is hilly, so I can understand why we were exhausted. lol Seeing a movie with the boss is great way to spend an afternoon. :D Happy Easter to you, too and thanks!

    1. My kids are teens now, so all they want is the living room tv and internet. Between the computers, Xbox and Netflix & Amazon they stay occupied. It was nice to get out and about for once. LOL

  4. I went off and saw the Lego Movie which is great for younger kids (and those young at heart). Captain America is next on my hit list.

    1. Aw, the Lego Movie was pretty cute. lol Our kids are teens so they still like to see some of the animated movies and yet are old enough for movies like Captain America. :D

  5. I haven't seen any of those movies you mentioned...I think I really need to rectify that situation, asap. :) Lord of the Rings though, I have those movies. I could totally watch those today, while grading papers. Such a good idea!

I didn't get too many books this week either-I'm trying to keep it under control so I can *maybe* get to what I already know. Maybe. Someday. lol

I hope you have a great week and Happy Easter to you and your family!

  7. I rain for the first 4 days of my kids spring break, luckily it has been sunny and fairly warn, so they have been outside. We have danced on the xbox for the past few days too. :) Enjoy your week.
