AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
The weather has been fairly nice this week though I could without 82º on April 12th with no leaves on the trees yet for shade. Mother Nature, there is seriously something wrong with you. 80s and 90s are for July and August, so quit screwing around!
I've spent all week working on my blog doing behind the scenes stuff and reading books for tours. I have two books and one audio to go before all of my April books will be done. I only need to write up the reviews which I'm going to work on today. With a bit of strategic planning and a smidgeon of luck I will have all my May books done by the end of this month. That would be freakin' awesome-sauce.
In other news, I went for a check up at the dermatologist's office and they made me wait an hour, so when I was left alone in the room I filled my purse up with stuff from the sample basket. So, if you see a woman on YouTube opening her purse zipper with her teeth because her hands are full of sample products, that's me. :D

And now, I'm willing to stalk Youtube to see if I can find that video lol ! You had a great haul but Tell me you're sorry looks like a great thriller you can read on a friday night curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand :) Have a great week !
ReplyDeleteOf course, if you find that video I can sue for having cameras in their exam rooms. LOL It does look like that kind of book. Add a thunderstorm and it'd be perfect. ;)
DeleteEnjoy your new books...and your samples! LOL
ReplyDeleteHere's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
Thanks! LOL
DeleteOur weather is so wonky here too. It's supposed to be 82 here today, but we have no leaves on our trees that shade our house. I might have to turn on our air conditioning already. Ugh. Enjoy your week ahead. :)
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
We had some gorgeous days this week in the midwest. Today it has been raining all day, but we needed.
Delete$20 to spend on books?! I'm not sure what I would get at this point. I'd probably horde it until my birthday in August and go on a spending binge then. :)
@Jenea ~ No leaves here yet either. But they're leafing out. Soon...soon. :)
Delete@Terri ~ I'm not sure either. I'm dancing around in a tizzy. lol
Yesterday I asked my husband if it's to early to put on the AC, I'm a cool weather kind of girl :) he said I couldn't so I put on shorts instead.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
I refuse to turn the A/C on in April! The kids are like, why is it so hot in here? I said, go get the fans. lol
DeleteThanks! you, too!
Ooh congrats on the gift card wins! Those are always great. The weather has been nice the last few days, which is wonderful, but I can't wait to open up the pool. That's how I like to spend my warm weather. haha
ReplyDelete-lauren
I love gift cards! Who doesn't? lol
DeleteI don't blame you. If a pool wasn't so much work I'd try to get one.
Go for the samples! LOL good for you. 82 degrees already? Wow that is a little early, I'm looking forward to summer but I hope we don't from 60's to 80's and humid right off the bat. I need a little transition, some 70's... :)
ReplyDeleteWell, they have them sitting out there for the taking. lol Yeah, way too hot for April. Luckily, the forecast shows cooler weather this week. :)
DeleteFeel free to send that heat and sun my way! :) We're having some weird weather here. I hope you'll get some amazing books with that giftcards :) Also you've got some really interesting books this week. Great haul and thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteI'll try, but I'm not very good at directing weather away from us. lol
DeleteThanks! :)
Hee hee, sample stuffing. I love it. :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your gift cards, those are fun to get and spend. :)
Happy reading!
They had some good stuff. LOL
DeleteI'm trying to decide what to get. :)
Thanks!
OMG you are naughty. I won't go with my hubby to Doctor he opens drawers and takes samples, gloves..gah! It makes me a nervous wreck! Congrats on all the planning ahead :)
ReplyDeleteI am, but they have a sample basket with a sign that says help yourself. I just helped myself to more than was probably proper. There was still plenty left though if the Dr hadn't come in when I went back for seconds all of it might have ended up in my purse. LOL
DeleteThanks! :)
This is totally off topic.. well kind of.. but I read that you went to your dermatologist office for a check up and I hope it was a skin cancer check up. I was diagnosed with melanoma last year and try to inspire everyone to get checked! :)
ReplyDeleteNo, it was a rosacea check up. I need to do the skin cancer check though. Keep spreading the word. :)
DeleteWell done for getting down to write up reviews, it feels so good when it's done. Crikey, I mean we had warm weather, but in the 60's, not 80's. That's too much for April. You seem to have a lucky streak this week with your winnings, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and Happy Reading.
My Sunday Post is here
It feels incredibly good. :)
DeleteThanks!
We had a dermatologist that had us waiting in the room for a hour once ... we don't go to him anymore. lol. Yay for the wins!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you. Once I was back in the room I didn't have much time to stuff my purse before the Dr came in. lol An hour wait for a 5 minute check up. *sigh*
DeleteI laughed out loud when I read you stuffed your purse through of samples. I'd have done the same thing, and then complained about the wait. I'm an impatient person when it comes to long waits. (Though I have improved a little since I try to remember my kindle so I can read! lol)
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on getting so much reading done for next month! I need to work on planning out and scheduling my blog posts in advance, so I'm not so stressed out. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your books -and the gift cards!
My Sunday Post: Another Week, Another Sunday Post
If I didn't have my Fire with me I would have been on a rampage, Hulk-like. Yeah, I'm not a patient person. lol
DeleteIt feels really good to be getting ahead. :)
That is so funny about the dermatologist office. I hate when they make you wait that long. Otherwise it looks like a good week. It finally got nice where I live also.
ReplyDeleteYay for nicer weather! :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you will consider joining the readathon.
DeleteThe Man With the Blue Hat caught my attention. Will see if it's still free on Amazon. Hope you got some good samples from the doctor's office :-). Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteIt looks interesting. I hope you manage to grab it. :)
DeleteThey are good. Too bad they don't last long. lol
These are all new books to me! I hope you enjoy them :)
