The weather this week has continued to be gorgeous, sunny & warm. I've had the windows open for weeks now, but the upcoming forecast is showing some rain and cooler weather, more like October should be instead of like June. Not that I'm complaining about the nice weather. I wish Spring could have been like this instead of the rain we had every single day.AVR News Update
I've made an account at BookLikes and while I haven't had a chance to really nose around much, I do like what I've seen so far. I have yet to get a social icon up for that one and I'll be adding a way to follow by RSS as soon as I have a chance to figure it out.
I'd like to thank Literary Chanteuse for nominating me for the Liebster Award. Thanks Mags! I'll be answering the questions as soon as I can. *wide smile*
This is AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Diary of a mad hatter has an interesting cover. I hope that you enjoy your books from this week.
ReplyDeleteIt is! lol Thank you and thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteSome very interesting choices for books that you got this week. I see some romance. We all need some romance in our reading every once in a while. Come check out my haul as well this week. I also have a giveaway going on right now.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm romance heavy this week. Romance, in it's many forms, is my bread-n-butter genre. :) Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI've seen that Jennifer Probst book around a lot. I'm interested in it, but I want to see a few reviews first. Can't wait to see what you think of it!

Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
I saw it once before the NerGalley email came about it and I decided to give it a try. :)
DeleteI have Mistletoe & Magic and Heating Up the Holidays as well - I'm hoping to dive into those this week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading
~gaele @ I am, Indeed
I won't get to them for a little bit yet, so I'll be curious to see if you like them. :)
DeleteYour new books have such enticing covers...enjoy! Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteThey are! :) Thanks!
Deletei'm very curious about jennifer probst's novels. i'm a sucker for contemporary romances and her books seem like ones i'll enjoy. hmm....
ReplyDeletehope you can stop by my StS.
-michelle @ Michelle & Leslie's Book Picks
Contemporary isn't my favorite form of romance, but that one seemed interesting. :)
DeleteI love the look of both holiday books...yum. I might need to grab those (one can never have enough holiday themed romances) Enjoy your week, I need to check out this book likes.
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd like those! :D I'm liking BookLikes so far. Still have lots to learn about it though.
DeleteNice books. I need some holiday books and soon.
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
I had a hankerin' for some holiday books and these came up in an email. :)
DeleteI've been seeing those holiday books a lot. I'm not ready for Christmas yet! :D
ReplyDeleteI've poked around BookLikes but so far it doesn't appeal to me. I hope it works out for you.
I'm hoarding them to read late next month. lol
DeleteI do like what I've seen so far. Still need to poke around a lot more though.
I love the cover of Death of a mad hatter, it looks fun! I hope you love your books and have a great week :D
ReplyDeleteApril @ My Shelf Confessions
It is very interesting. :) Thanks and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSome of these books look hot, lol. :) Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually pass up a hot book. LOL Thanks! :)
DeleteI'm interested to see how your BookLikes journey goes. It seems like more and more people are looking for Goodreads alternatives. Thanks for checking out my Sunday Post
ReplyDeleteI have close to 5000 books on GR,s o I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. However, I don't like how they arbitrarily removed things without giving people a chance to fix things themselves. Not cool. So, looking around and BookLikes seems pretty cool so far. :)
DeleteGreat haul! The weather has been beautiful here in CA too, but I'm not looking forward to the colder weather - yuck.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Well, it's cooler today and rainy. I'm not a fan of colder weather either.
DeleteLoving the Holiday themed romances - I need to check them out, since there's no such thing as too many books! I'll look for you on BL too - I"m still figuring it out myself, but I think I'm going to like it. They seem very responsive to requests for features, so fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just started to realize I need to gather up some holiday-themed books for late next month into Dec. lol I am enjoying BookLikes so far. I've barely scratched the surface though. *fingers crossed* with you. :)
DeleteIt's been really hot here too, it was nice and breezy outside for like 3 days but it's back up to the 80s. I'm hoping it stays that way though, I don't like the Fall. I hope you enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI jinxed it and it's rainy today, but at least it's cooler. :) I don't mind Fall, but I'm not a fan of Winter. I'm a Spring baby. lol
DeleteThe weather here is horrible. It's below 10 degrees! It's too soon for winter!
ReplyDeleteAnywhoo GREAT HAUL and happy reading :)
Below 10º?! Yikes! Stay warm and snuggle up with a book. :)
DeleteMistletoe and Magic has such a saucy cover I love it! I have it on my ARC pile from NG as well. I hope you have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my Sunday Post this week!
