AVR News Update
So, I've been busy resting this week. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but it's actually true. I've been busy doing non-blog related things and doing some work for InD'tale Magazine. Speaking of InD'tale Magazine, if you do not have a subscription yet please go and sign up. It's free and the magazine is completely awesomesauce, focusing on indie and small published authors that have anywhere from a little to a lot of romance in their stories, any genres. The September issue will be out very soon! Oh! And any bloggers interested in reviewing for the magazine please don't hesitate to send an inquiry email to the editor TJ MacKay at tjmackay@indtale.com. After the RNConvention in Vegas this past month they have submissions out the wazoo! Come join the hugely fun team!

In other news, my husband's grandmother died this week and he will be making the trip to Ohio for her funeral on Tuesday. I will be staying home with the kids. They just started school and absences are restricted to 6 per semester even if they are excused. Since the kids had only met her once we decided it was best if he and his oldest daughter would go to represent our branch of the family.

Since I have gotten very little reading done this week, what with working on other things and just relaxing with my husband, I have decided to take one more week off the blog to read and get some reviews queued up. I will have three posts this coming week, just as I did last week, but then I should be back to normal operating procedures. :)

AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. Holy cow that's a lot of books! :D Go you! I see you're on a McCaffrey kick. I should re-read something by her. :)

Sorry to hear about your husband's grandmother. It's always hard to lose a family member.

My publisher, Astraea Press, was at RNC also :) I've been getting InD'tale for about a year now; I like it.

  3. Birthmarked has been on my TBR list for forever. I just moved it over to my Christmas wish list, so *fingers crossed*--even though Christmas is a long way off.

Sounds like you've definitely had a lot going on lately. Will be praying for your husband and his family.

    1. Thanks Miss Meow. I'll tell him.

I did, I did. Found out the FotL bookstore has a 50¢ sale the last week of the month and Monday is actually the best day to go before the selection gets picked over. I've made a mental note. Now, let's hope I don't forget. lol

    3. This FotL store is actually in the lobby of the downtown Greensboro location (the Central Library). I don't know of any other FotL stores. At least around here.

Miss Meow just seemed to fit. ;)

They can be absent more than 6 days, but they'd have to make up the time and that's a pain in the ass. So I prefer to save those days for true emergencies or illness which I hope don't happen.

I found Birthmark while wandering the YA section looking for something that might interest my 12yo son. lol

Thanks for the link to InD'tale Magazine, I hadn't heard of it, but am now a subscriber :-) Oh and I totally did a happy dance when I saw Silver Borne in your new books - Mercy is one of my favorite UF heroines; she introduced me to the genre, so I owe her for so much happiness in my life. Hope you enjoy it :-)
