AVR News Update
This past week has been all about preparing for back-to-school and trying to stay ahead of my review schedule. And I have to tell you, I'm stressed, grumpy and plain ol' burnt out. So my command decision is to take it easy this week, as you can tell by my upcoming schedule. I have some work to do for InD'tale Magazine, I need to finish up my Excel Review Lists and I'm hoping to get some reading done for the first week of September. However, I'm not going to worry about it. Any of it. Ok, well I won't worry much. I do have people waiting for reviews, but I have to take care of me first in order to be running at Optimal Reading Capacity. Victory shall be mine!
AVR News signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Inhuman sounds interesting. I like seeing old school sci- fi reviews too, so the McCaffrey stuff is a treat to see.
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too. :)
DeleteI have the last of that McCaffrey series on Tuesday then I'm starting her Catteni series. So stay tuned for more old school sci-fi/fantasy. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
I read a couple of Sharon Sala books a few years ago, so I'm curious about this one. Thanks for sharing...and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SUNDAY UPDATES/MAILBOX MONDAY
Sala is a new-to-me author, so I'm anxious to see if I have yet another new favorite. lol
DeleteThanks for visiting! :)
I'm glad you've decided to try to ease off this week! You got some great books this week and I'm going to check some of your reviews from last week. I love Anne McCaffrey and haven't read her for awhile. And the Mole People book...I have to check that out!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you have a great and fun week.
Me, too! :D NetGalley is just evil, but in a good way. ;) I love McCaffrey, too! I'm really enjoying rereading her books.
DeleteYou should read The Mole People. It was a good one!
Thanks and I hope you do, too! Thanks for stopping by!
Great new books. Happy reading.

Thank you! :)

My youngest brother has been back to school for a couple of weeks now, and MY mom is always stressed and grumpy during the back-to-school rush. Then again, it might because her kid is rather high maintenance, lol.
ReplyDeleteThankfully my kids aren't high maintenance, but this week has just been...ugh. So a week of *mostly* rest and recharging should do me a world of good. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by Miss Meow. ;)
Yes, you should get a week of recharging while they go back to homework and tests! :D YW I always enjoy stalking your blog... ;)
DeleteI'm always naughty when it comes to NetGalley. Great haul this week. Enjoy your relaxing week! I wish I could do that, but I can't bring myself to do it. lol
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to be naughty there! ;) I have a hard time taking a break, but my body is telling me 'Do it or else!' so I guess I better listen for once. :D
DeleteThanks for visiting!
Great haul! Resting and reading are my favorite things haha
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading :D
Dee @ Dee's Reads

ReplyDeleteSunday Post
O.O You did?! I bow down to your willpower! ;)
DeleteI hope so, too. Thanks for visiting!
You've been quite busy! Don't worry we all get a little crazy with NetGalley from time to time. Have fun reading :D
ReplyDeleteI know! LOL I need to step it up soon to get those reviews rolling out. My percentage of Added vs Feedback is getting quite lopsided!
DeleteThanks for visiting! :)
Ooh a couple of these books are now on my wishlist-Charming and Inhuman. I do have a book problem, I admit it!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I think we all have that same problem. :D
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
Netgalley....We have a love/hate relationship. LOL. I just visited them a few days ago. Just when I caught up I got WAY behind again! LOL
ReplyDeleteThere, there...*pats shoulder* NetGalley doesn't do it on purpose. At least, I don't think so. LOL
DeleteThanks for visiting! :)
