Pink Flamingo Publications is an alternative press founded in 1994 by Lizbeth Dusseau, and her husband Ken. With the launch of their first website in 1996, Pink Flamingo was one of the first erotica publishers to bring quality Bondage and Spanking Fiction to the Internet.

While Pink Flamingo began with the publication of Lizbeth's Spanking, BDSM and General Erotica, they soon expanded to offer erotica by many other authors. They've also added both Femdom and Lesbian Erotica, and many other genres to their listings. Pink Flamingo Publications now has over 85 authors, from several different countries. 

Pink Flamingo specializes in BDSM erotica, a catch-all phrase for ‘kinky’ erotica that includes bondage, spanking, master/slave stories, male and female domination, as well as a variety of fetish content.

Fiona McTavish is a barmaid at the Half Moon Tavern when she meets the Blacksmith, Joshua Kane. When her fiancé Jerud is killed in a fight defending her honor her position at the tavern becomes precarious as Jerud’s friends blame Fiona for his death instead of Jerud’s temper. One evening Fiona is accosted outside the tavern and nearly raped, but she is rescued by the Blacksmith and taken to his home for protection. Thus begins a new chapter in Fiona’s life. But what role will she play?

I love a good historical romance especially if there is erotica thrown in. As far as erotica goes though, this is fairly mild with Fiona being disciplined by Joshua when her bratty behavior crosses the line he has drawn for her. She is a spirited woman so she gets spanked on several occasions, but oh, what spankings they are. I even enjoyed the twist that happens which causes Fiona a lot of angst and the final compromise is much more appreciated by me than watching Fiona just give in to circumstances. All-in-all a great historical romance with an added kink.

After his death, taking her skills and his money she goes underground, hiring herself out as a Dominatrix training highly skilled elite soldiers how to turn the pain of torture into pleasure. When 32-yr-old Tesla meets Muriel, she has no idea that her life is going to merge with Muriel’s and she’ll be forever drastically changed.

This story is very interesting and unique. Until now I haven’t read about a Dominatrix training soldiers how to turn the pain of torture into pleasure. I’m not exactly sure the purpose of Tesla since she’s not a soldier. I would think Muriel would have been able to find a female soldier or two among those serving in the military to fill the female spot on the team instead of picking a sous chef, but it’s only a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent tale. The only other small complaint I have is the scene on the airplane. It didn’t seem to fit with Muriel’s character. And of course, the ending completely sucked, but only because of what had to happen. There was no getting out of the ending, no wriggling, plot twist or miracle that would lift it up from the suckfest it was. Then again, real life is messy and tends to suck from time to time. We honor those deserving of honor, pick up the pieces and continue onward. Should there be more stories about Muriel and her team I would love to read them. All-in-all an awesome BDSM read.

Former schoolmistress, Hannah Smart runs into a former student, Lionel Oxley and thus begins a seductive game of Stern Schoolmistress Punishes the Naughty Schoolboy. Even though it has been ten years since she taught him she recognizes him and he her. After some awkward conversation, Lionel screws up the nerve to confess to Hannah that he had fantasies about her when she was his teacher. Hannah, only mildly surprised since it is a fairly common occurrence, took the confession in stride until Lionel also confessed that also imagined being punished by her. It at this point that Hannah reaches a crossroads in her life. She can brush off Lionel or see where this confession will lead. She chooses the latter and her life veers into a whole new direction, much to her surprise and to Ronald Wheatley, her husband.

This is an interesting true story about a schoolmistress doling out punishment to a naughty schoolboy now in his 20s thus fulfilling a long term fantasy of his. Hannah’s life changes in ways she never imagined possible and more to her surprise, so does Ronald. The circumstances are unusual, but not far-fetched and it’s interesting to hear Hannah’s reasoning behind it all. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed Hannah's tale, there was too much introspection for my liking. It made the reading drag for me since I like stories with more action. All-in-all an interesting story about someone finding out something about themselves they had no idea was there and that something is kinky. Plus, a Stern Schoolmistress. Hello! Can’t go wrong with that.
