Bubba
is a Monster Hunter. His buddy Skeeter handles all the intellectual and
technological stuff and Bubba handles the killing. A lot of their jobs come
from Skeeter’s Uncle Joe who is a Catholic priest and anything that comes
across his desk that sounds unnatural he passes off to Bubba and Skeeter. When
there’s no need for a Monster Hunter Bubba works security for rock concerts.
Fast
and funny this short is an entertaining read. Bubba is an unabashed redneck,
but his inner monologue is amusing instead of annoying to read. Skeeter makes a
great sidekick and the weapons are plentiful and varied. In this story there
are zombies to kill and the necromancer who raised them and it’s up to Bubba to
get the job done before he can move on to his next titty bar.
If
you have a weird sense of humor you’ll get a kick out of this redneck Monster Hunter.
I know I did and look forward to reading more.
