The best part about this book is the murder mystery. The MC, Riley Paige, completely ruins it. What a nitwit. How she became an FBI Agent is beyond me. I can’t even with her. She would have been a much more believable and sympathetic character if she was a consultant. As an agent, she completely sucks ass. She disregards rules and is just a total twat. I have less than zero interest in continuing this series.
A final note: Why in the hell was a British narrator used for an American character set in the United States. Elaine Wise is a decent narrator, but completely wrong for this book.
