Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front

Sunday ~ Up at 9:00. I think I could have slept until noon. lol Fed the furries, walked the dogs in 40ºF chilliness. Puttered around a bit then made biscuits and sausage gravy for me and Trip from the leftover sausage from spaghetti night. Slowly working our way through the weeks leftovers. While I ate I watched Bones and decided to just hang out in my chair awhile afterward since it felt good to have my feet up. Not long after I got myself some cheesecake then napped for over 4 hours. Wow. I guess the week wore me out more than I thought. We ended up not watching Oliver. He went to his dad's instead. Leftovers for dinner.

Monday ~ Did work on the computer. Lumber for equipment shed was dropped off, porta potty dropped off, and Hunter & Larry were by to do whatever it was they needed to do for framers scheduled for Weds. Leftovers are finally gone so we tossed some frozen pizzas in the oven for dinner.

Tuesday ~ Framers came a day early. Yay! They were going to finish up tomorrow, but since they didn't have all that much left they stayed until about 6:00 and finished. The owner of the framing company had his wife and two boys with him. They were on Spring Break. They entertained themselves, but after Trip and I got back home I introduced them to the dogs (they loved Rocky, said Mr. Puggles was a handsome boy, and were a bit scared of Artemis) and since it was hot out (80s) I dug out my old giant squirt guns for them to play with. That kept them occupied for about an hour. lol In the morning, Trip and I did grocery shopping and errands. We hit CVS, Big Lots, Harbor Freight, TSC, BJ's and Food Lion. Also had lunch at San Marcos. First time there and let me tell you...we will absolutely be going back. Great food and decent prices. Win-win. Kyle grilled the 12 hot dogs that were left from the giant pack, but dropped one on the deck, so we had 11. Sad. lol

Wednesday ~ Hunter and Larry were by to work on the left small side of the equipment shed. They had to set the posts first in concrete then frame it. I wanted it to stack firewood inside and stay dry. I can run it all along the sides since it will be protected.

Thursday ~ Kyle took the day off since he has tomorrow off, so he can have a 4 day weekend. Hunter and Larry finished up the small right side on the equipment shed plus put the Y supports up and I had Larry remove the downspout on the porch so I could finish the stain behind it. So, I did that and up around the top of the posts after I found an old file folder to hold up against the new siding, so I didn't get the stain on it. The boys put together my patio table from Wayfair, but the top is two different colors. Like, wtf? Where was quality control on that?! Anyway, they're sending another table and I have to return this one. I figured I'd just have the boys replace the top piece with the proper color, put the wrong one in the new box and send it back. Easy peasy. lol Trip and I went to watch the Carolina Hurricanes play the Columbus Blue Jackets since I'm originally from Ohio. We won 5-1. Go Canes! Chris spent the night and Anna had him pick up Culver's for them and Kyle for dinner. Went to bed late.

Ready for roof and siding.

It is not a sun/shade issue. It really is two different colors.

Hurricane Hockey!
Don't worry. The seats were full by puck drop.

Friday ~ Up a bit late, but the dogs went out late, so I don't feel bad about it. Much. I keep thinking today is Saturday. Did some stuff on the computer, went to Food Lion for hamburger patties for Kyle to grill for dinner today and ribeyes, that were on sale, for tomorrow. Except they were completely out of ribeyes. 😭 I'll try again in the morning. Fed my critters, watered my flowers, and dumped and refilled the bird baths. Went over the wasband's and my taxes one last time, to be sure I did them correctly. Pretty sure I did. Filed mine since I'm getting a miniscule amount back, but he has to pay so he's going to wait until the last minute. lol Hunter called and the metal place has the brown for the sides of the shed, but are out of the green for the roof. Kyle wants the green so it should be available in about a week and a half. They'll probably still come out Thursday to do the sides then come back when the roof pieces are available. So, a bit longer than anticipated before it's finished. I had hoped to put everything in next weekend. Ah well. Kyle grilled burgers for dinner. Anna spent the night at Chris's. Fell asleep in my chair.

Saturday ~  Up a bit before 8:00. Did the morning stuff, went to Food Lion to see if they had any ribeyes (they had 1 🙄), then got started on the usual Saturday cleaning and the first weekend of the month cleaning. Had a leftover burger for lunch. Finished the cleaning. Switched out my St. Patrick's decorations for Easter decorations. Kyle grilled Italian sausages for dinner. Watched a Bones then fell asleep in my chair until 9:45 when Anna finally got home. She said there was a limping coyote out in the woods, so Chris stood guard while she took the dogs out, but it didn't show. I put the dogs to bed, let the cats out to roam, and worked on this post.

Today I hope to putter around the house. Maybe read. It's supposed to rain most of the day, so would be a good day to work on the hall closet and to rearrange the pet food cupboards to make room for Anna and Kyle's work snacks. I have pictures I need to hang. Eh. We'll see. The grandkiddos are coming Monday and spending until Wednesday with us for Spring Break so we may be working on the craft area next week.

New Year's Resolutions/Goals
I thought I'd keep a weekly record of these so I can see if anything is getting done. 😆
More reading, less tv ~ Just audios and falling asleep watching Bones.
Go back to the beginning and revamp old blog posts ~ Nothing this week.
Exercise ~ Nope
Tidy up outside ~ Not this week.

Touching Nature:  It's heating up out there! 80s and mostly sunny. Though next week is looking much more Spring-like. NC is actually in a severe drought. We seriously need rain.

Book News:  I've been listening to audios. I intend to read in the evenings but I think I was just wiped out from last week and getting up early to take Kyle to work because I just fall asleep in my chair.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Bones still. I skipped the part where Sweets dies. Because fuck that.

At the Flicks: Nope.

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Solitaire, the Finch app - if anyone wants to be friends just let me know.

Randomness:   Me, I'm partial to Jet and Shower. I rarely use any of the others. And who the hell uses the Soaker option?! LOL

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do something that's been on your To Do list for quite some time. Even if it's a small thing. You'll feel better once you can cross it off.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.
