Silver Spells by Kate Moseman ~ Audiobook Review

Luella Campbell is having the weirdest day ever. Getting fired from her job at the sunscreen factory for no good reason is bad enough, but when a mysterious dog brings a tempest into her former workplace, Luella’s life is completely upended by the sudden gift of wild and windy magical powers.

With the help of her ride-or-die best friends, her motorcycle-riding mother, and a romantic blast from the past, Luella must find a way to make ends meet while unlocking the mysteries of her newfound magic...and the secrets hidden in the picturesque town of Sparkle Beach.

Sometimes, an empty nest means it’s your turn to fly.

My Rating ~ 3 bites and a nibble

I listened to this in November of 2024, but didn’t get to the review until now. Because Life. Anyway, my daughter asked me how I remember so many books so far back and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes the title will jog my memory, but all I usually need is the blurb and the book comes rushing back to me. Maybe not everything, but a general sense of the book and whether I liked it or not.

I remember this being a fun and humorous tale full of quirky characters. I like that the MC is an older woman (40’s I think) and not a young cute thing. Because I am not a young cute thing. Nothing wrong with those stories, but it’s nice to see more with older ladies like me. Anyway, it’s also got some magic thrown in and some mystery. All-in-all a great way to pass the time.
