A Man with One of Those Faces ~ Audiobook Review

The first time somebody tried to kill him was an accident.

The second time was deliberate.

Now Paul Mulchrone finds himself on the run with nobody to turn to except a nurse who has read one-too-many crime novels and a renegade copper with a penchant for violence. Together they must solve one of the most notorious crimes in Irish history...

...or else they’ll be history.

My Rating ~ 5 bites

Holy shit, this book. It’s funny, it’s sarcastic, it’s a rollicking good time!

I have to say that the narrator did a fabulous job with this story. Bunny’s voice in particular is nigh impossible to decipher most of the time. LOL However, he might be my favorite character of them all.

Paul Mulchrone is just living his life when nurse Brigit nearly gets him killed. Then nearly killed again. This is one of those books you want to read (or listen to in my case) when you need some cheering up. Or just want a bit of fun. It’s mystery and suspense bound together with lots of humor and sarcasm. It’s a haphazard trail of investigative work done by Paul and Brigit, but there’s also chiming in by DI Jimmy Stewart (not the actor) and Detective Sergeant Bunny McGarry as well as a few others. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. So much so that I'm hesitant to listen to book 2. Will it be just as good or fall flat? Eeee…what to do?! Ok, I’ll most likely pull the trigger (hehe) and buy the audio over on Chirp.
