Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Everything is still shitty, but life goes on and you have to keep going, too.

Sunday ~ We washed and vacuumed all the vehicles. It was cool and very windy, but sunny.

Tuesday ~ Took care of the last filling. Dentist said it was a bit deeper than expected so good thing it was done sooner rather than later.

Wednesday ~ Went to the DMV to get my license renewed. I renewed online last time so I had to do in person this time. I waited 2 hours. Which is actually not bad. The one in Greensboro was always an all day event. I decided to go to a different one this time.

Thursday ~ Grocery pick up. I did 7 stops, so it was a many houred affair.

Friday ~ Trip and I took Kyle's car to get an oil change and had breakfast at the little diner next door. We always do that so it makes for a nice treat. Stopped at T-Mobile to try and fix the replacement home internet gateway, but they were no help. So, I had to call to get a replacement for the replacement. I shit you not. The replacement needed the SIM card from ours put in and the fucking thing got stuck. So, while we're waiting for replacement part II, Kyle managed to get the SIM card unstuck and the internet works. But it's slow and still needs rebooting too much. I should have just left the old one in place. At least it was faster. I guess we'll see how replacement part II does when it gets here.

Saturday ~ Kyle's been working OT all week (up at 4:00am) and he had to work, so when I went to pick him up we went to Krispy Kreme to get St. Patrick's Day donuts. Then I did the Saturday cleaning.

Sunday ~ We plan to go to the Friends of the Library book sale since it's bag day. Pay $10 and fill a bag and we have our original bags that have flat bottoms and not the wedge shape. So we get many more books in them. Ha! For dinner I'm going to make Irish Stew in the Dutch Oven. Except with beef and not lamb because lamb is so expensive and actually hard to find. So, beef it is.

Touching Nature: Been a bit chilly most mornings, but warming up a bit during the day. Definitely Spring weather. I kick the heat on in the morning because I end up putting on the A/C by late afternoon. I'd open the windows instead, but Kyle is allergic to nearly every single pollen known to Ma Nature, so that's out.

Book News: I'm slowly reading and writing reviews.

Don't Touch That Dial!:  Still with Lucifer, Bones, and Psych.

At the Flicks: Nope, Hoping to hit Dune this coming weekend.

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do not get into pissing matches with people who enjoy golden showers.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  3. I'm with Kyle on the pollens. But allergy meds have been quite successful for me over the years. Before I took them I was miserable year round because dust and mold are a problem too. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
