Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front:
- Sunday - Worked outside (mowed and burned the brush pile) then lazed around.
- Monday - My father-in-law came to visit after hubby got home from work. He's in NC now, staying with my sister-in-law. Mom started chemo and radiation.
- Tuesday - Artemis had a vet appt for some shot updates then worked on my blog.
- Wednesday - Took hubby's car to put gas in it (they drove Kyle's car to work) and hit Lowe's, BJ's, and then pet store for a new shepherd's hook since the one I use for my Tiny Patrons' feeders broke. Dafuq. I now have a 4 hooker. lol Worked more on my blog. Got many posts drafted. Just need to write some reviews. Dammit.
- Thursday - Breakfast at Waffle House with Anna and Trip then grocery pick up and a stop at TSC for critter food.
- Friday - Helped Anna sort clothes. Hubby and Kyle went to La Fiesta after work with co-workers so Anna, Trip, and I had Taco Bell. lol
- Saturday - Cleaned house then mowed. Hubby picked up his dad for a visit. Kyle treated us to Texas Roadhouse. I ordered online then picked it up.
- Today - Anna and I are headed to Ohio. She's going to stay with mom until the end of October to help while mom goes through chemo and radiation. I'll be heading back Tuesday in a rented SUV with more of my crap stuffed in it. Back in May, when I went up with Anna, a Uhaul was going to be about $800 so I said nope. Now it's $1052. WTAF?!?! So I'm renting a car again for $200. Fuck them.
Touching Nature: It's been super nice. Loving it. Worked outside and mowed.
Book News: I've got nothing to report here. I guess this year is going to be my driest of spells the likes of which I've not seen since I was in college where the only reading I did was for classes but I did read a fuckton of magazines. I am just not achieving any kind of balance between all this home shit and reading. Gah My hubby's like, you should write your book. I'm just like, W-H-E-N?!?!

Wow, Uhaul is expensive! That's crazy! Hope your mom does will with the chemo. Just found out a week or so ago that my stepdad's cancer is back, so he's going Monday to the doctor to find out what they will need to do this time for treatment. Have a good week!

DeleteI hope you have a good trip and things go well for your Mom. You are doing stellar with the mowing. I'm only managing about every other week but my neighbors on one side are waiting about 4 weeks so I look pretty good. LOL So many things I do like shopping, cooking, cleaning, yardwork, etc have to be done over and over and over so sometimes it doesn't seem like I accomplish much and it's like where does the time go. Also I was down to 1 review left to write but then finished 2 books yesterday. Sigh.

DeleteI should have mowed today but I wanted a day of rest and reading. So I guess I'll mow tomorrow morning. At least your neighbor is considerate about your lawn looking better. LOL
IKR?! This adulting stuff is just bullshit. lol I have 3 reviews to go. sigh
UHaul is so expensive. We moved a little over a month ago and only moved 10 or so miles. The UHaul was ghastly. I can't imagine driving it as far as you'd need to.

The prices are totally insane. I'm going back up in Sept but I'm taking my Pilot so I'll just stuff what I can into it. I'm debating taking our trailer, but I'm not sure I want to tow it that far when it's empty and bouncing all over the place. I'll think about it. Eventually I'll have made enough trips to get all my shit down here. LOL
