Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Monday I finished the last firewood rack but that was it. I was done. lol Tomorrow Trip and I will work in the morning, splitting the pile of larger logs which means setting the splitter vertically and wrestling them on to it. It'll be a good work out. lol We'll stack as much as we can on the last rack, but it's not going to be enough so I'm going to improvise. I'll share a pic next week.

I did a lot of blog catch up (drafting posts) and made appt's for 4 of the furries in the coming weeks. I ordered new hubcaps and window trim for Kyle's car and those should be here this week. I have a million tiny projects to do in the house and it's overwhelming, but I did manage to clear one on Friday and another yesterday. Go, Me! It rained Tues and Thurs, so we did not work outside. Then it got chilly. This weather is Whack. I did put out my feeders for my Tiny Patrons (hummingbirds) so hopefully they'll be showing up soon. I have not planted a single thing yet. *sigh*

In other news, I got the call that my bathroom window is finally in. YAY! They're coming Thursday to install it and that will be the end of that big project. Refresher: The other windows were installed on Feb 1st.

Today, hubby and I want to dig the hole for a cedar tree we want to move from up the drive by the mailbox. It's getting way too big to be there and it's such a nice shape we want to try to transplant it where the hurricane tree was. Now that we have a tractor with a bucket and backhoe AND we finally got that area cleaned up, we can move it. We've only wanted to do that for like 3 yrs now. LOL So, we'll move it today (fingers crossed) and it will survive or not. Either way it needs to be gone from where it is. It's really getting in the way.

I guess that's it? I probably forgot some things.

Touching Nature: It got nice, almost too warm, then it rained and it cooled off. We even had a freeze warning for Friday & Saturday nights. WTF Usually by this time we've got our gardens started and they are going to town. I've been waiting though because of this weird weather. I did put out the feeders for my Tiny Patrons (hummingbirds) so hopefully we'll see them soon. We finished the firewood racks and now just need to split the big logs.

Book News: I've only read 17 books so far this year and two of those were re-reads on my birthday. Pathetic. I'm hoping to step up my game. Do projects in the morning until lunch then read in the afternoon. We'll see how that goes. I also intend to write up 3 of my backlogged reviews and put them out there this coming week. We'll also see how that goes. lol

Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Without A Trace.

At the Flicks: None but we want to see Morbius and Dr. Strange.

Cyberspace Playground: Still enjoying Wordle.

Randomness:  It cracks me up that the before kids are actual kids. LOL

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Take pictures. Lots of pictures. Then back them up in several places. Trust me on this.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

The first cover is everywhere and I'm not a fan. The second cover was only in the email sent to me from NetGalley, but not on NG itself. Not sure what's going on with that, but I like it better.

  1. I have only read 5..FIVE! I don't even know who I am anymore. Might have to pull out the monster porn!
The weather here has been weird also, I want to do a garden so bad since last year I didn't have the chance to do it but the weather needs to get it together.

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx

  2. Hoping the tree survives. We moved 15 man sized shrubs one summer and they all made it through. Just did deep and wide. Hugs.

  3. I love reading your posts. I recently planted and the cool crops are fine but the basil looks sad. I knew it was a bit early. I won't do tomatoes and perhaps a second basil until May. Even when you clear projects, some new thing happens, breaks or whatever. It's never ending.

  5. We had our first hummingbird show up yesterday so I jumped up and got the feeder all clean and filled up for him.
