Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Just normal annoying adulting stuff this week. And the guys came to put up our new gutters on Friday. They are supposed to be back tomorrow with our gutter guards.

I'm hoping to visit blogs this week. I'm so far behind!

Touching Nature: Hot, humid, rain, repeat. I tamed the feral greenery on Weds. Trip and I did a few things outside and it was awful. Soaked in sweat does not look or feel good.

Book News: I need to write some reviews. Gotta get going on those. I'm also about 30 books behind on my Goodreads Challenge.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Hubby and I, for some reason, have been watching the A-Team. Not that there's anything wrong with that guilty pleasure, but we should really be finishing Star Wars: The Clone Wars. lol In sad news, our beloved Carolina Hurricanes got knocked out of the Stanley Cup race. *sniffles*

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Sometimes the silver lining is aluminum foil, but at least it's shiny and has many uses.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. "Hot, humid, rain, repeat" sounds like our week 😂 I really need to get out and mow, but everything is SO wet. Hope you have a great (and drier) week!

    1. It's feast or famine around here. Too wet or too dry. Uggghhhhh!

  2. It was supposed to rain every day and didn't too much. I haven't mowed in 2 weeks and plan to get on that after 6 tonight. But most of the yard is new topsoil for the skids of sod arriving on Wednesday. It's supposed to be 80s this week and not as much rain. The winds from the north are what I think will help, if the forecast is right. lol

  3. "Hot, humid, rain..." Boy, did we get the rain on Friday! Parts of our county got 7 inches (in one day.) We probably got at least half that at our house, maybe more. BTW, I love the phrase "feral greenery." I'm totally stealing that. We have feral poison ivy here; I need to hire someone to get rid of it. No way am I touching it!

    1. Steal away LOL Oooh. I hate poison ivy. It never used to affect me and now it does. It's evil.
