Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: We've had another quiet week and I'm thankful. Oh, we haven't run out of things to do. Not by a long shot. But I needed a break. I worked on the blog, I've read, I've lazed inside since it's been kind of a rainy week. I did clean my dishwasher yesterday when I did the usual Saturday chores. Let me just say ewwwwwwwww! WTF I scrape my plates and give them a rinse if needed before putting them in so how does it get so disgusting?! I know it's been awhile since I gave it a good rub down, but still! I need to make sure I do that at least once a month because I do not want to spend another 90 minutes scrubbing out something that is supposed to clean dishes but instead looks like it was pressure washing a cadaver.
In addition, it's 11pm on Saturday night and I'm drinking something I haven't had in a loooong time ~ 7&7s. So if there are errors then that's why and I'm not really caring at this point. I mentioned the dishwasher, right? I totally deserve these. *snort giggle* Is it hot in here? Booze or hot flash, uncertain.
Touching Nature: Rain, nice, rain, nice, rain, and nice. In other words, Spring.
Book News: I finished the 18 reviews I needed to write. I drafted over 40 posts for the blog. And then I promptly finished a book, started and finished another, and started another. Party on!
Don't Touch That Dial!: We've watched some Supernatural and are on the season 8 finale. However, I've wanted to read for most of the week, so instead of soldiering on hubby has been watching his DVD collections. First S.W.A.T. and now Perry Mason. I watch a bit while I sit on the couch reading. Man, that Perry Mason is something else. And I have to admit that I've got a bit of a crush on his PI Paul Drake. Mmmm...
At the Flicks: Obviously no
Cyberspace Playground: Nope
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: There are way too many fucked up douchebags out there and it can get depressing. But keep in mind, that they are far fewer than the media wants us to believe. I know all my peeps aren't like that and it lifts my spirits. Let it lift yours, too.
It's May!
Let's have some cake.

I laughed so hard at this post.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with a dishwasher but never had one as an adult so I wasn't aware they get all nasty and have to be cleaned. I was thinking about having one installed but now I'm thinking I'll just stick to hand washing. I don't want to have to wash dishes AND a dishwasher.
Have a great week!
I'm glad I gave you a laugh. So needed in these depressing times.
DeleteDon't get me wrong, I love my dishwasher. With 5 people in the house and no one but me remembers how to wash dishes (I call it DDA-Dirty Dish Amnesia) it's usually full every night. But it still needs to be cleaned once in awhile. Like, did you know you should wipe your washing machine down? I'm 52 and never thought of that until I got a new one this year. Soap scum is, well, scum and it must die! Plus, I want to keep my new appliances shiny as long as possible. lol
My dishwasher needs to take a shower, and my dishwasher I mean husband, since he was doing a bunch of stuff this morning. I did something similar last week with the stove. I really need to clean around that more often because ewwww, I didn't know it could get that gross.
ReplyDelete*clinks glasses* I drink wine every night because i'm an adult and can do what I want :)
Spring weather is making my nose hurt and my eyes puffy. I hate spring.
I just told my husband he should binge watch Supernatural, I might do it also, I bailed when it go to heavy into the angels and demons but I think I want to try it again. I think we stopped at season 10.
Have a great week, Carol! Stay Safe and Happy Reading! xx
You wrote 18 reviews??? That's amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo you on all the reading and reviews written! It feels good to get things finished. I am so tired of the douchebags. That's the reason I have to do less social media some days.
ReplyDeleteTacke care, be kind and sensible!

Haha! After cleaning a dishwasher, you deserve anything you want. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
That cake is gorgeous! Too pretty to eat. Good on for taking a break, though I'm not sure writing 18 reviews is taking it easy, lol.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
