--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Not much to report here. Got Trip signed up for Fall semester at GTCC and Thurs was grocery day. Man, I hate grocery day. I mowed on Fri and hubby watered the garden and sprayed for arthropod invaders that have been munching things they shouldn't then hubby and I went to buy a drop-leaf table I found on Facebook Marketplace. I've been looking for one and I'm very happy with the one I found. I'll share pics once I get things moved around and tidied up.

Touching Nature:

Book News: Finished two books, but still sitting on 15 behind on my Goodreads challenge. Wrote two of three reviews. Other than that, I have nothing else to report.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Nearing the end of season 4 of Psych and the boys and I have finished season two of our Star Wars: The Clone Wars rewatch.

At the Flicks: Saw Spider-Man: Far From Home last Sunday and it was a great flick. That ending though. :-O

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness: Wait...wut?

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Perseverance is not just continually pounding away at something until you finish it. It can also be pounding away, taking a break, and coming back to it. As many times as needed until you complete your goal. The Grand Canyon wasn't formed in a day.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Touching Nature just made me laugh out loud and I scared the dog.
Goodreads is a bully and needs to stop stressing people out. I'm currently 8 books behind and it likes to remind me often.
I am thankful for Shop at home! I hate going to the store plus I always spend too much money when I go.
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading!

    1. It's the truth though, amirite? lol

I just go with it. I'll either make the goal or lower it. Problem solved. LOL

  2. We have been searching for a drop-leaf table for about ten years. I never thought to look online!

    Have a great week!

  3. I grocery shop either at night on Friday night or late on a Saturday afternoon. The store is much quieter then which makes grocery shopping bearable.

Wishing you a great reading week
