For my first Friday Featured Spotlight of 2019 I wanted to pimp out give some love and shout outs to The Norse Chronicles by Karissa Laurel. I found Karissa through Red Adept Publishing (seriously folks, this small publisher pubs the BEST books ever!). I've even met her. She's cute as a button and nice as can be. When I read the blurb for book 1 I was intrigued, but at the time I was a bit burnt out and hesitant to do a book tour with a deadline. I waffled for a good long while before deciding I just couldn't pass it up. Boy, am I glad I didn't! This series is a mix of fantasy, Norse mythology, mystery, and some steamy nommyness in the form of one Aleksander Thorin. Nom nom nom! It follows Solina as she leaves NC and heads to Alaska to get answers about her brother Mani's death. Does she? Oh, yeah she does. And a whole lot of other stuff comes flying out of that box she's opened, too. It is one hell of an excellent ride! And one you really shouldn't pass up.

Karissa lives in North Carolina with her kid, her husband, the occasional in-law, and a very hairy husky. Some of her favorite things are coffee, chocolate, and super heroes. She can quote Princess Bride verbatim. She loves to read and has a sweet tooth for fantasy, sci-fi, and anything in between. In the summer, she loves to be on the water, on the boat or in her kayak. When it snows, you'll find her on the slopes.
What are you waiting for? Pick up The Norse Chronicles today!
