--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So...as of the drafting for this post, we are still waiting for grandbaby Boone to make an appearance. His due date was Weds and while everything is fine according to Fri's ultrasound, the Dr said if he doesn't show by this Weds (3/9) April will be induced. She's been having cramping and lots of pressure plus other signs of impending labor, so inducing may not be necessary. *fingers crossed* I've been in a high state of anticipation this whole week, waiting for the phone to ring, so in consequence I've gotten nothing done. Ok, maybe a few household chores, but that's about it. I dare not relax with an alcoholic beverage in case the phone rings or try to bake something unless the kids or hubby are here to take it out of the oven. Or maybe I should. The baking anyway. Not the alcohol. Maybe that will bring on April's contractions. :D

Touching Nature: Weather has been typical Spring; windy then not, cold then not, rainy then not. Though we're supposed to warm up next week with no danger of frost, so I'll be able to start my seeds outside at some point after Boone arrives.

Book News: Very little.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Nope.

At the Flicks: Nada

Cyberspace Playground: I got nothing.

Randomness: This is the reason for Rule #1: Never trust a fart.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I can imagine you're climbing the walls with the waiting! I was induced at 38 weeks with both of mine for various reasons and it was really nice just showing up and having a baby instead of doing all the waiting! Hope it will be soon! It sounds like we're having the same weather. It's driving me crazy! I keep dressing like it's warm and then getting in the car in the garage and when I get out of the car in a parking lot I discover it's freezing! Have a great week!

  2. Oh, I hope that baby comes soon! I had a couple of pregnancies back in the day when I went past the due date by a couple of weeks, and they felt like they went on forever. Back then, they didn't tend to induce.

Enjoy the baby when it arrives, and in the meantime, some of those books!

  5. A Human Element was so good as was A Hidden Element. That cat gif is hilarious! I'm waiting to be a great auntie right now! They say if my niece doesn't deliver by Tuesday, they will induce. No signs of labor yet. Congrats on your soon to be grandbaby:)

  7. LOL, I was caught unprepared for Sophia. Her due date was Jan 26th, and it was my daughter's first..I expected her to be a week late..bwahaha. Nope little stinker came on her due date. However I would have totally loved not cooking for a week in case the call came!! I haven't picked my kindle first yet, while you are waiting for Boone maybe you could read yours and tell me yeah or nay on that title? *winks*

  10. Oh that must be nerve wrecking waiting on that phone call. And not daring to do anything in case you get that phone call. Baking usually does help me relax, so that might actually help. Enjoy your new books and have a great week! I hope your grandbaby will be there soon!

  11. The baby's not even born yet and he's a little troublemaker, lol. I'm sure you're a wreck waiting for news. Go ahead and bake and read and watch TV, settle your nerves. Keeping my fingers for April and Boone!

  12. I really wanted that kid to be a leap year baby! OMG Totally start baking, like our conversation about the snow. I still didn't buy the boots and it snowed on Friday. So Spring being so late might be my fault.

I am going to drink for you today. Maybe if I am drunk and you bake a cake we can both get that kids to come out already!

Have a great week, Carol! Keep me posted!!! ox

  15. Oh my gosh, that makes me anxious! This baby is taking some sweet time. Ironically, we have a teacher on staff who was due in April, and her water broke in class in front of her 7th graders Friday. I picked the historical for my Kindle First.

  16. Hope that baby makes an appearance soon and she doesn't have to be induced. :) You should bake cause you know as soon as it goes in the oven you will get a call, happens every time. lol. Happy reading!
